That's called the algorithm, YouTube has done the same for every feature it has to increase revenue over serving content. Every content creator knows this, it's why all advice given is grinding and playing the game. Don't like how your members only content is pushed to feeds, stop using it. Don't like how A/B testing damages reach, stop using it. YouTube don't hide any of this, they literally tell you how the algorithm works.

FYI Creators set videos to "Members Only" not YouTube.
