The NFL really gave the #49ers:
• Chiefs
• Eagles
• Rams/Seahawks
as the FINAL 3 games of the 2026 season… while also making them travel more than any team in football 🤣
Yeah, Goodell definitely hates the Niners.
The 49ers and Trent Williams successfully threaded an even trickier contractual needle than in 2024.
Back then, $48m fully guaranteed got it done.
This time, with Williams turning 38 in July, $37m fully guaranteed got it done.
Under contract through 2027
DE Charles Omenihu said the #49ers Super Bowl team that lost to the Chiefs in OT, was better than the #Eagles team who won it all.

NFL Draft Trade idea via @MaioccoNBCS 👀
The #49ers send Pick 27 to the #Cardinals & get:
➡️ No. 34
➡️ No. 104
➡️ No. 143
Cards get a QB. With this draft loaded in the middle rounds, SF could stack talent and walk away with SIX picks between 104–143.
Thoughts on this trade?
@brandn1x@jr3_jiran@49ersSportsTalk@FanDuel Seahawks? The only advantage they have is JSN. Kupp is still good but not what he once was. Shaheed is a great returner, but not as good as a WR. RB and TE Niners are way better. And Purdy is better than Darnold. Seattle won because of their defense.
@jr3_jiran@49ersSportsTalk@FanDuel If you genuinely think that they have a better offense then you are fucking retarded
The only teams realistically that have a better offense than the niners are the Rams and Seahawks from the NFC
I got into a heated debate with someone about this and wanted to get everyone’s opinion…
𝐘𝐄𝐒 𝐨𝐫 𝐍𝐎- If #49ers LB Fred Warner retired right now, would he make the Hall of Fame?
@49ersSportsTalk Ok so now extend Trent and restructure Bosa to free up a bit more space, sign Joey Bosa for 10m or so (discount to play with his brother), and still have a good chunk to carry over into next year.
The #49ers will receive a $20.6M savings towards the 2026 cap due to insurance policies taken out to protect against injuries, per Over The Cap
The Niners received the second most cap space adjustment in the NFL. More $$$ to play with for the team. HUGE NEWS!
@49ersSportsTalk Even if they don't get a new deal, I don't think they release him. They wouldn't save that much in cap space, and they aren't hurting for space either. It would make more sense to just have him play out his contract this year.
The clock is ticking on #49ers LT Trent Williams and his $38M cap hit.
SF must make a decision soon, and teams around the league are watching to see if he becomes available.
Common sense says the 49ers will try to work something out with the 12-time Pro Bowler.
