We report the visualization and quantification of PGE2 secreted by epithelial cells. A single calcium spike causes a cell to secrete 0.25 fmol PGE2, or 150 million PGE2, which activates PKA in 1000 neighboring cells. jstage.jst.go.jp/article/csf/48…

doi.org/10.1247/csf.23… Sakaue-Sawano and Miyawaki have published a paper describing a new cell cycle biosensor, Fucci5. In addition to the improved sensitivity, the new Fucci is free from the patents of fluorescent proteins, paving the way to the commercial use!
