Yesterday, members of the Brockton Fire Department stood together in solemn remembrance of the 13 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on March 10, 1941. On the 85th anniversary of that tragic day, firefighters, families, and supporters gathered to honor their memory and reflect on the courage and dedication that define the fire service.
Eighty-five years may have passed, but the bond of brotherhood remains as strong as ever. The legacy of those 13 heroes continues to live on in every call answered, every life protected, and every firefighter who proudly carries the tradition forward. Yesterday was a powerful reminder that while generations may change, the commitment to stand together—through sacrifice, service, and solidarity—never fades. 🚒🕯️🇺🇸 @144Iaff @nardi230 @IAFFPresident @THE_PFFM

Mia is just 14 months old — a beautiful little girl already showing more strength than most of us will ever know. Mia has been diagnosed with biliary atresia, a rare and serious liver condition that means she will need a liver transplant to survive. For any family, that’s an unimaginable road to travel.
Her parents are facing that road with incredible courage. Mia’s father, Ben, serves the community as a Bridgewater firefighter/paramedic, someone who has dedicated his life to answering the call when others are in need. Now, it’s our turn to answer the call for him and his family.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of Black Hat Brew Works, a fundraiser was held to help support Mia and assist with the recurring medical costs, insurance copays, and the many expenses that come with preparing for and recovering from a liver transplant. What unfolded that day was nothing short of inspiring.
The brotherhood of the fire service showed up in full force. Firefighters from near and far came together to stand beside one of their own. Departments, friends, family members, and complete strangers gathered with a common purpose — to support this amazing family and help little Mia in her fight.
But what made the day even more powerful was seeing the entire community come together. It wasn’t just firefighters — it was neighbors, local residents, and people who simply heard Mia’s story and wanted to help. That kind of compassion reminds us all what community truly means.
Moments like this prove something that those in the fire service have always known: when a brother is in need, firefighters will come from miles away to stand beside him. And when that brother’s child is fighting the toughest battle of her life, the support becomes even stronger.
None of this would have been possible without the overwhelming love and generosity of the community. Every donation, every kind word, and every person who showed up made a difference.
Please continue to keep Mia and her entire family in your thoughts and prayers as they continue this difficult journey toward a liver transplant. She may only be 14 months old, but she already has an army of supporters standing behind her.
Today was a powerful reminder that when a firefighter family needs help, the fire service and the community rise together. Always. ❤️🚒 @enterprisenews @TauntonToGo @boston25 @WCVB @BostonGlobe @BwaterFD

🔥 Yesterday, March 6th, Massachusetts Deputy Fire Marshal Maribel Fournier had the distinct honor of leading the graduation of BW38 — welcoming the newest class of firefighters into one of the most noble professions on earth.
To every graduate: you've chosen a life defined not by what you earn, but by what you give. A life where ordinary people walk into extraordinary danger so others can walk out alive.
The gear is heavy. The nights are long. The sacrifices are real. But there is no greater honor than holding the line between chaos and safety — between loss and hope.
Deputy Marshal Fournier, thank you for inspiring the next generation. And to BW38 — Massachusetts is better, stronger, and safer because of YOU.
🚒 Congratulations, BW38. Your community is proud. 🏅

It was great to see State Fire Marshal Jon M. Davine and Deputy State Fire Marshal Maribel Fournier at the 2026 Fire Chiefs Association of Massachusetts conference. Always a pleasure to connect with leaders who are so committed to strengthening fire service safety, leadership, and collaboration across the Commonwealth.
Events like this remind us how important it is for members of the fire service to come together, share ideas, and support one another as we continue to face new challenges in the profession.
Thank you both for your leadership and dedication to the fire service in Massachusetts. 📷📷

📷 Big time performance when it mattered most! 📷
In a standout performance on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, senior guard Cam Santos led #6 Bridgewater-Raynham to an impressive 71–42 victory over #22 Winchester in the MIAA Division 1 Round of 16.
Cam paced the Trojans with 17 points, showing leadership and composure on both ends of the floor. He also stuffed the stat sheet with 8 rebounds and 3 steals, making key plays all night to keep the momentum firmly in BR’s favor.
The win sends Bridgewater-Raynham marching into the Elite Eight, and performances like this are exactly why this team is such a force this postseason.
Congratulations to Cam and the entire Trojan squad on a huge win! 📷📷

They say respect is earned… and nothing says respect like drawing a TRIPLE TEAM. 💪🔥
When the other team sends three defenders your way, you know you’re doing something right. Cason Faulk commanding that kind of attention in the paint — strength, composure, and still battling through contact. That’s the mark of a true leader and a serious scoring threat.
Keep making them adjust, Cason. That’s the impact of a difference-maker. 🏀💥 #BuiltDifferent #TripleTeam #GameChanger @Coach_Bain @dougtwelve @BR_Athletics_MA @BRgirlshoops @BRBoysBasketba2 @FOBRA_MA @BrocktonSports @sports_ledger @TauntonToGo @BostonHeraldHS

BR’s #15, Lee Williams, said NOT in this house! 🚫🏀
A clean stuff of Carson Sarpong was just one of many plays showing the skill set this kid brings every night. Defense ➡️ energy ➡️ momentum shift.
