Two of our brilliant physiotherapists really stepped up - literally - into a plane, then, jumped out of it 😮 well done Danny and Tom and thank you for raising an amazing amount for our Trust charity. What an adventure. It’s been great summer of fundraising 💙

@DrJN_SportsMed Really useful, thanks for this. Is this collection of descriptions/patterns/presentations/mechanisms based around your clinical experience? Presumably the sort of things you might look for patterns in from your subjective
English

@Seth0Neill hi Seth, the morning stiffness felt in tendons, my assumption is this is mechanically driven nociception from onset of lengthening and loading after stillness o/n rather than the classic inflam descriptors of eg. Knee OA. Is that right? Any research to support that?

Patient-specific goals are always important. Iain lives in Catford but is originally from Kincardine on the east coast of Scotland. He’s making his way there on the Motormed (exercise) bike, an epic journey of 430 miles, using our map as inspiration. He really is our #rehablegend

IST delivered today to our department with this paper as the basis. Well written and makes a potentially complicated assessment technique seem logical, digestible and smooth in its delivery

More good news 👀 ‘A guide to cranial nerve testing for MSK clinicians’ is now THE most read paper @jmmtonline with over 16k views😲 The book chapter & the journal article were written and designed for clinicians. We hope you find them helpful. #Physiotherapy #PhysicalTherapy

The effect may increase in the presence of lumbar instability.
I would much rather have a hard disc than a floppy disc!!!!
🤣🤣🤣
English

@Neurodynamics hi Michael I was at your London upper quadrant course in February and just want to clarify something we talked about there. The increase in disc protrusion in extension: is that in non weight bearing and weight bearing? Do the discs/annulus/nuc pulp behave te same?
English

@DerekGriffin86 @bendean1979 @Prof_Littlewood Do you see the challenges of barriers in getting this message across to patients?
English

@bendean1979 @Prof_Littlewood Also lifestyle factors including metabolic health have a profound impact on structure and peripheral neuroimmune mechanisms.

@RoryTwogood As always, the importance lies in the choice of words. Delighted they’re opening back up though to #workoutsafely

Interesting to see quite a bit of physio advice around reducing injury risk on return to gyms from Monday. All valid but, potentially creating barriers for people considering return to gyms and making exercise sound 'scary' or 'dangerous'?? 🤔 #riskbenefit #physio
