@georgentou1 @CritCareCynic @WesElyMD I agree George - it does look like the weight of all that vent tubing is hanging off the ETT and difficult to see if any additional securement has been used. Great to see mobility - and I’ve danced (poorly) with a few patients in my time - but safety is paramount every time.

@CritCareCynic @WesElyMD the way the patient is ambulated in this scenario is I would have secured the ETT as weight of the ventilator tubing and the distraction of the ETT is high risk - hence either the therapist should be holding the vent tubing or the vent tubing secured to the patient...

Everyone in an ICU today (pts & teams) MUST watch this 🎥. Ask yourself this ⁉️ - if this woman on 70% FiO2 & PEEP 12 can dance while walking, why are your patients in bed on sedatives? She is able to do this BECAUSE she was not over sedated yesterday & the day before that‼️
