#OnThisDay 43 years ago Woodside to Selsdon closed (last train 13th May) resulting in the closure of Coombe Road, Bingham Road (pictured), and Selsdon stations. The trackbed north of Coombe Road was reopened by Croydon Tramlink 17 years later. Martin Jones buff.ly/IzT9YtC

Being that DfT and ministers plug this every time a date is announced for a TOC to transfer and again when it happens and it was a key point of the rail legislation which has also been plugged relentlessly since proposed prior to 2024 Gen Election, not sure it needs an 'ICYMI'.
