I just cancelled my Adobe licence after many years as a customer. The new terms give Adobe "worldwide royalty-free licence to reproduce, display, distribute" or do whatever they want with any content I produce using their software. This is beyond insane. No creator in their right mind can accept this . You pay a huge monthly subscription and they want to own your content and your entire business as well. Going to have to learn some new tools.

Moving forward I’m interested in exploring the uncomfortable yet hypnotising spaces in which we find ourselves reflected by the machines we have created.

The Mavin System explores the transition of computational aesthetics from virtual to physical space. Tech-art installations that signify nature end up expressing an atmosphere that is abstract and alien. This is the logic of the machine.

The Mavin System has several future incarnations...it’s a sophisticated and complex system that I plan to continue working on. It’s the distillation of a lot of thinking and hand-wringing. It also involved lots of soldering, 3D printing, electronics, and C++ software development.

Julian’s extradition order is under appeal and a decision is coming soon. If extradited, he faces a max prison sentence of 175 years. Let’s make it clear to the US government that he has the full support of the Australian community. Exposing war crimes is not a crime

@thesvinny @Plagman2 Even compared to other distros, its ease of use and ability to adapt and scale non-native resolutions down to standard definition is really impressive.

The steam deck is the only current generation console that properly supports standard definition televisions, complete with correctly scaled text for the steam deck UI, Which is great, because now I can play my HD Remasters in their proper aspect ratios in standard definition.

You don't have to endorse Russia's invasion to recognize how it could have been avoided: US upholding 1990 pledge to halt NATO expansion; Ukraine upholding Minsk II Accords it signed in 2015. Upholding prior pledges is one path to ending this war. Another is more catastrophe.

Managed to play the Tauri demo project in @Bitwig today using @PipewireP native output. Considering I don't know anything about how to use a DAW it felt like a small achievement :) #linux #audio
