Air India flight AI 2455 from Trivandrum to Delhi - carrying myself, several MPs, and hundreds of passengers - came frighteningly close to tragedy today. What began as a delayed departure turned into a harrowing journey. Shortly after take-off, we were hit by unprecedented turbulence. About an hour later, the Captain announced a flight signal fault and diverted to Chennai. For nearly two hours, we circled the airport awaiting clearance to land, until a heart-stopping moment during our first attempt - another aircraft was reportedly on the same runway. In that split second, the Captain’s quick decision to pull up saved every life on board. The flight landed safely on the second attempt. We were saved by skill and luck. Passenger safety cannot depend on luck. I urge @DGCAIndia and @MoCA_GoI to investigate this incident urgently, fix accountability, and ensure such lapses never happen again.

@jagritichandra Not 6-7 years but 5 years. Calicut crash was 2020. Don’t be surprised if we have one more in Mangalore or Calicut this year🤦🏼‍♂️

“The latest crash has come within 6-7 years of the last one. If things don't change in a meaningful way the next disaster will come much sooner,” in the words of one aviation genius mind. And this is what should worry us all! 🎯

🧵 14/ It wasn’t a flameout. It wasn’t sabotage. It wasn’t fuel starvation. It may have been a ghost in the system A jet pulled back to idle not by physics but by logic. A machine’s quiet obedience. To a deadly lie.

🧵 13/ So let’s stay grounded in fact: No proof yet. But a known 787 logic chain can lead to thrust rollback if the system falsely detects ground contact. It’s happened before. And that could explain everything we saw, no fire, no birds, no fuel loss. Just idle.

🧵 1/ A 787 took off Seconds later, both engines failed. No birds. No fire. No fuel exhaustion Just silence What if the jet thought it had landed? What if its own software pulled back the thrust? New developments. New voices We weren’t far from the truth #AirIndia #Boeing #787
