@Pimit8@Ep8Script What do you mean by native items? Character holding the item and rarity are definitely still in the works and making good progress. If you see the latency stuff tomorrow, do reach out. Custom items has been complex and we definitely want to solve problem areas so folks dive in💙
Spend years teasing first-person → ship half-baked → maps using it get no CCU because it’s broken → abandon it

Hey Samantha, hope you’ve been doing well 🙂
At a high level it just feels incomplete vs native items right now. Pickup flow doesn’t match Fortnite items, there’s no clean way to have the character actually hold the item, and ground behavior feels off. Rarity is limited too, can’t customize names and custom rarity colors don't show on the ground. Biggest issue is inventory, noticeable latency when dropping/swapping and general instability. Hopefully that improves with the normal BR inventory UI.
Happy to put together proper forum posts after 40.30 if it’s still like this. Haven’t spent a ton of time with it yet since the inventory issues made it hard to justify using in a project right now.
@Pimit8@Ep8Script hope you've been well pimit! long time😄 do you have any links to the forum posts for the issues you're seeing with custom items? we do have some nice fixes coming in for 40.30
@Ep8Script That would make sense. I tried out custom items for the first time in a while yesterday and was so confused how it was released in that state. The inventory is so buggy it's basically unusable
@formulatoast37 And quite a few of those top games are just RvBs. They aren't bringing in new players interested in the IP, it's just pulling from existing combat experiences.
@Pimit8 The player counts for the top 5 in each one (discounting Epic's games) show everything. As of typing this, in Epic's top 10 row:
TWD: 1.2k, 472, 392, 336, 206
KPDH: 3.9k, 1.4k, 1.1k, 525, 316
TMNT: 10.4k, 256, 267, 61, 85
SG: 2k, 1.3k, 305, 294, 178
LEGO: 171, 156, 156, 82, 89
Up for debate whether UEFN rev share helps or hurts Epic.
But these partnered editor tools (LEGO, Disney, etc.) look expensive and time consuming for a tiny share of total playtime. And once those deals exist, Epic is likely somewhat locked into continuing them.
Core UEFN editor and Battle Royale should be the focus.
@Duuk_FN@ToraUEFN@HiveCr8 We removed the Communities announcement flagged in this thread. This does not remove the island and any other enforcement is unrelated.
Survive Lava For The Brainrots | Ghost Event 👻 Teaser Trailer
February 28:

March 1:

See you this weekend!
GG I can't push a new update. Moderation rejects a version because they think there's an IP infrigement while the assets were already double-checked and there were no problems before.
Appealed the decision but I guess I'll have to wait for hours before it gets accepted :)
VALENTINE'S ADMIN ABUSE 💕 | Teaser Trailer
We will be hosting an admin abuse event in Survive Lava For The Brainrots today at 4PM EST
Map Code: 7010-1326-0620
Number one priority for UEFN should be speeding up the workflow. It keeps getting slower. At this point, 20% or more of my time in the editor is just waiting.
@Lazarbeam I made a 5000 VBuck purchase that kicks everyone in the game (except you) back to the Fortnite lobby.
