We are announcing the Lighter Infrastructure Token (LIT)! Lighter is building infrastructure for the future of finance and the native token is key to aligning incentives. In this thread, we will describe the structure of the token, broader vision, and roadmap of use cases.

@Armv7lFx @Lighter_xyz You forgot to take into account the points from referrals, so you can add about another 8-10%. For influencers, referrals give 15–20%, but for regular users it used to be 5%, and since summer it became 10% (I don’t remember exactly when)

This is my guess regarding the @Lighter_xyz airdrop. I downloaded all the announcements from the Lighter Discord server and used Mistral with Ollama to extract the amounts of distributed points. The result: 11,714,182 points were distributed. The team also removed some points from sybil accounts. I will not count those, as I cannot estimate the exact amount. DYOR. A transaction on Etherscan shows that 250M $LIT were transferred: etherscan.io/tx/0x5a03d8783… I will therefore consider a 25% supply airdrop (since total max supply is 1B $LIT). Current pre-market prices on perpetual exchanges are around $3.5. From this, we can calculate: $LIT per point = 250,000,000 ÷ 11,714,182 ≈ 21.35 $LIT/point Value per point (USD) = 21.35 × 3.5 ≈ $74.7 This gives a total airdrop value of approximately $875M, which represents 25% of the total LIT supply. I don't know if i missed anything, it is the first time i am calculating this, feel free to correct me!

@Crypto_Albert13 @Route2FI 1) At the end of September, during Lighter’s side event at KBW (Korea Blockchain Week), it was mentioned that there were plans to launch a meme token. 2) Some time later, there was a vote in Lighter’s official Telegram regarding the name of the memecoin check next comment for 3)

Trying a bet on Lighter not to airdrop before Dec 31st at 17c (odds: 5,88). If I remember correctly spot was supposed to come in October/early November, but it was delayed and launched a couple of days ago. Based on this it might be hard to get the airdrop out in time. The airdrop may have some terms you need to sign due to legal reasons (Hyperliquid had this), so this is my main argument that they won't make it. What speaks against the bet is this phrase: "If Lighter launches a memecoin and performs an airdrop of that token within this market's timeframe, it will qualify for a "Yes" resolution." A memecoin might absolutely happen, but with almost 6x the money on NO, it is worth a small bet. If you want to semi-hedge you could bet YES that the Lighter FDV will be above 1b one day after launch. If you want to "semi-hedge" you could end up earning $30 no matter which outcome there is. Bet $160 on YES 70c --> $230 Bet $40 on NO 17c --> $230 Just a warning, this is not a sure-win because: 1. Lighter might launch lower than $1b FDV (unlikely, but the scenario is there) 2. Lighter launches a memecoin, but not the main token (could see this happen) 3. Lighter launches after Dec 31st, eg. in January Cheers, and good luck

Spot trading has been enabled for ETH/USDC and market makers are starting to provide liquidity for the pair - at zero fees!

Not true, at least as far as I know at Lighter Daily.

@lighter_daily I had 0 trades since november 17 and got 50.05 points this week (0.3 from referrals). I made a deposit just a couple of minutes after the spot launch. I’ve also seen a lot of people in the chat with the same situation. It’s 100% true, maybe the first 100 depositors got it.
