I know Peter. I have spoken to him at length regarding his coffee shop, because I would like to do the same. The coffee shop has never turned a profit. He didn't make his money on the shop, and he spends his money to keep it open. You do not know what you're talking about, and I am assuming this is because you've never run a business. However, when I send you back to Peru, you will have every opportunity to learn.

Sounds like his coffee shop actually can afford a £15 wage

A minimum wage of £15 would end my coffee shop, it would have to close, as would many other businesses. I’ll explain for the economically illiterate. Staff costs are currently half our costs, a £15 minimum wage is actually more than £15 an hour for the company, because you have to add: - 12.07% holiday - Sick pay - Maternity pay if and when required - National insurance - Pension contributions These costs would mean the shop loses money because remember, energy costs are up, rates are up, regulations are up. Now you can pass these costs onto the consumer - that would mean charging a lot more for coffee, people won’t pay it. The likes of Starbucks and Costa can, because they have economies of scale. The independent doesn’t. Now the little socialist will say well this is your fault, if you can’t run a business that can afford to pay its staff properly, but the little socialist has never run a business and does not understand the dynamics. Now I could pay some staff off and fill those hours myself or reduce us to one staff member during certain periods - but this proves the point that a minimum wage costs jobs. There was a time when these jobs were done by kids, perhaps on the weekend, paid a lower wage, no holiday and no silly employment rights. Perhaps they were even paid cash. The dynamic worked and small businesses like this could operate. It was also a great first job. Sadly now it isn’t worth employing entitlement youngsters at this level of pay. So alas, I don’t need the stress, the business would close, a number of jobs would be lost. Economics is about understanding these dynamics, no vibes. The cost of living is not solved through passing on inflation to the business, it is solved by ending high inflation and creating prosperity. This is what socialists don’t understand, they can’t create prosperity, they can only destroy it.

@NepentheZ @EASFCDirect If im not mistaken, theyve made more money this year than ever before There’s only one way to drive change -Dont pre order FC27 -Dont even buy it at full price. Wait for sales -Dont buy fifa points. Zero. if even 20% of the players did that for a few months, EA cant ignore it

I have a solution for you @EASFCDirect to save the final months of FC26. This wont fix all the problems, but it will allow people to play to earn, to complete content, and to engage in SBC's and fun gameplay. A new, infinitely repeatable tournament. But here's the twist..... You ONLY get the rewards for losing upon COMPLETING the game. So you can't just RQ minute 1 of Round of 16 and farm the first reward, you have to complete. However if you're winning and someone rage quits, you still advance. You make it 3 minute halves, so if you're taking a beating it's over fast for your rewards, and you have no limits on squad requirements. Lost in 1st Round? - 85+ x2 Lose in Quarters? - 85+ x5 Lose in Semi? - 86+ x5 Lose in Final? - 88+ x3 Win Final? 88+ x5. You only get 1 reward, not all. The further you go, the better the rating to allow you to complete SBC's with 89/90 rated squads (and have a small chance of a TOTS pull) - and because you only earn rewards if you complete your game (unless you're winning / drawing and it's a RQ) - the cup should take the full alotment of time, which if we include loading into the games, cut scenes, celebrations, half time, pauses etc will roughly come out to 10 minutes a game. So to earn an 88+ x5 it would take you 40 minutes. That means it would take you (assuming you won EVERY game) 15 HOURS of winning this thing to STILL not assure yourself enough fodder to complete Son TOTS SBC. That's 15 hours of grinding, and 1 Elite SBC still not assured. What it would allow, is easier and better completion rates of - Daily TOTS Upgrade / Player Pick Gring - Daily 84+ x7 EPL Upgrade - Ability to craft Icon Pack / Player Pick - Ease of completing the 83+ x14 - Easier opportunity to complete low end / mid tier player SBC's like Russo, Welbeck, YPOTY Cards - which are only priced so stupid based on market price of fodder rather than ease of access to fodder. Would also give people a chace to actually pack some TOTS's without being obligated to go to the store and who knows, might restore a LITTLE bit of faith in your community that you give 2 shits about us. LMK what you think @EASFCDirect - Or... as likely will happen, ignore me and your dedicated consumers and pretend it's all OK before hitting us with another promo run up for FC27. Your call.

@Itshaber On top of all this, we can layer in the meta rats, the toxic players, the Claudia Pinafiles, etc. Those are all annoying too. But why i look forward to opening packs and SBCs when I know theyre rigged? Why would I use those cards in-game if the game itself is rigged?

@Itshaber 3) Gameplay is a scam. And im not even talking about meta mechanics. I mean its a SCAM. DDA is real. Scripting is real. Deny it as they may, we players know it. Whats the point of playing competitively if the house is rigged?

FC is definitely a lot more dead this year than any other year. But something I ask myself, as a content creator; do we have a part to play in this outcome? I feel like, myself and a lot of other creators have kinda just done the same thing every year, and relied on EA's content to make our content interesting. Eventually people were gonna get tired of watching the same pack opening, SBC, RTG etc. Seen some 'new' ideas actually work (upgrading people's accounts, timed RTGs etc) in recent years, but I feel like we aren't doing enough to be creative in this space and keep viewers coming back. Maybe I'm being overly harsh but I know in regards to myself, I am not proud of my 'content' anymore.
NepentheZ@NepentheZ

6 30pm duting prem TOTS, and this game has never been more mudded. I'm looking forwards to 2K FIFA & Goals, just as some alternatives to FC, and in the hopes that EA wake up and rebuild this game for the better. The issues have been discussed to death, so I wont bore you with my thoughts on them again, I just really hope EA have some plans beyond running the well dry then abandoning the mode.

This might be the worst TOTS ever. Menu grind is dead, every SBC is limited and Insanely overpriced Gameplay is awful, you just watch your team play. Every game is a Sweat fest And pack weight is horrible, you can't even pack tots anymore EA really bottle FC26 this year.🤦

@ChandranTheMan Give him some squashes but he'll need someone to give him a believable 15 minute match before he gets to Roman. I've been racking my brain on who it can be. I keep landing on Bron but they shouldn't see each other just yet. If they keep pumping Rusev he can be a good one.

I actually think the Oba Femi open challenge is a smart move. It keeps him on TV weekly, lets him rack up wins, gives him purpose, and showcases what he can do instead of random matches against enhancement talent. It gives his run direction. If those Brock trilogy plans really got dropped, this buys time until the next real feud while keeping him dominant. Plus, fans get to see him work more, and he’s more than capable in the ring. His in ring style will give the fans another reason to fall in love with him.

@_xaibii No disrespect to Theory, but the company did nothing to convince anyone he was worthy of the spot. From sucking up to VKM, to that egg nonsense, to cashing in MITB on the US TITLE?!? Up until this year he's read like an upjumped fanboy. Meanwhile, Oba truly needs no explanation.

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

Handing people a check isn't going to solve the crisis of meaning and the spiritual void in people's lives. What will people *do* all day? Shop? Scroll another feed? From where and what will they derive meaning? They aren't starting families. Most of them reject God. There is no point in going to school beyond the level of basic reading writing and math if jobs are nuked. Not to mention the fact that we now have access to intelligence on demand in our hands. Remove the job that gives someone a some small sense of purpose (and for many the only sense of belonging and community they have) and it's a recipe for disaster that no amount of money will solve. How do you determine how much everyone gets? Does the crack addict get the same check as the 140 IQ young guy with endless potential? On what basis can some afford a yacht and others never reach that level? No one has seriously given any meaningful thought into what this actually looks like in the real world with real people and how it will impact their lives spiritually, mentally, and physically, not just financially.

Uncomfortable facts about the “Holocaust.” -There is no order from Hitler to kill the jews -there is no chemical evidence anyone was ever gassed to death -the allies never uncovered one “death camp” -the polish government admitted that their “gas chambers” on display are recreations… -there was never any “gassed bodies” found -There was never any piles of ash or mass graves found -the allies had broken the enigma code of the Germans, and never heard a word about any “Holocaust.” -the Red Cross visited the camps and stated they were “not used for mass execution.” -Paul Rassinier was a French communist inside an actual concentration camp, and claimed the “official story” was bogus - many holocaust revisionist are not “Nazis” but chemist and modern scientist who can simply see through the atrocity propaganda. (Germar Rudolf - Max Planck chemist, Arthur Butz- MIT graduate. - the people who “admitted” to a holocaust were tortured at Nuremberg -there were maternity wards, soccer fields and swimming pools in concentration camps because they were work camps not death camps. -it takes 2 to 3 hours to cremate a body, the idea that millions were quickly cremated is laughable. -the supposed gas chambers at Auschwitz has a wooden door and would kill all of the operators if actually used…

I’ve always wondered, with players like Dele, why they can’t get back to a decent level? It’s it just mental? Or once you’re out of the game for so long is it just impossible to get back to that physical level? What do you think the biggest road block is?
