𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐫: “𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐣𝐨𝐛?” It might look like an easy question, but believe it or not, over 75% of people answer it wrongly. Here are 6 simple examples you can use: 1. Salary reasons "I have made the most of my job at [company] and successfully achieved the objectives I set. Now I need a new challenge to expand my skills and to enjoy the rewards that come with more responsibility." 2. Job description changed "I was hired for a specific position, but over time, that has changed significantly, and I no longer get the opportunity to use the skills that I was hired for or do the work that I am best equipped for. My abilities are matched to the requirements of this job." 3. Company is struggling financially "I have valued my time at [company]. Unfortunately, the company is currently cutting costs, and some members of my department were let go. I can't see any prospects within the organization. So I think it's the right time to move on." 4. Opportunity for professional growth "I feel I have reached the ceiling in my current job, and I am eager for a fresh challenge. This job appeals to me because I will be dealing __ and developing my __ skills." 5. Structural changes "I have valued my time at [company] and am proud of my accomplishments there, but we are undergoing structural changes and many of my projects have been canceled. The recent organizational changes have limited future advancement opportunities." 6. Changing goals "I have re-evaluated my career goals and I am determined to find a position that better fits with my long-term objectives and where I can contribute to the best of my ability. This job opportunity will allow me to develop my __ skills while using my __ experience." No interview invitation in the last 5 weeks? Let’s help you fix that CV and get you noticed. BIR RESHUFFLE ‘VERY SOON’ WATCH: Internal Revenue Commissioner Charlito Martin Rada Mendoza says a revamp is coming among officials and personnel in Metro Manila and other provinces soon in a bid to stem alleged widespread corruption within the agency. Mendoza replaced Romeo Lumagui Jr. last month. At the Senate blue ribbon committee’s investigation on the misuse of letters of authority for tax audits, Lumagui said he acted promptly on complaints against BIR personnel. | @eimorpsantos

Should You Quit/Resign Because Of A Difficult Boss? You have been praying for a job, and finally God hears your prayers, however you immediately discover that your boss is so toxic Should you quit immediately ? What if for some reason you can't quit? We all know that it's not always easy to just wake up and quit your job and find another one tomorrow How do you cope as you look for a way forward? Here are tips:- 1.Quit competing/fighting with him/her Your boss is your boss! Sorry, I know this is the last thing you want to hear about somebody who takes you through hell, but the bitter truth is, for the time being, they are your boss regardless of what you feel about them. Respect them and give them their space. It is their time. Even the Holy Book tells us to respect those in authority and doesn't say if they are good. It says respect them. Do it. 2.Excel in your work - The only thing your boss can like or dislike about you that holds any water at the end of day is your work. Your good work and performance will stand up for you, speak for you and fight for you if need be. It is the only weapon that you can use to defend yourself against somebody who fights you for personal reasons and succeed. Shine so much in your work that you make them look ridiculous fighting you. 3.Seal the loopholes - The last thing you want to do with somebody who wants to bring you down is keep giving them ground to do so. This is the time you want to be in your best behaviour. Don't do anything that they can use against you. Keep time, do your work, obey the rules etc Wisdom dictates that if someone is "looking for you", don't sleep on their path. 4.Understand them- Sometimes we think understanding other people is for their good but in actual fact it is for our good. Some of these people who are our bosses have issues from here to the sky and back. Some have personality disorders, family issues, financial issues, psychological issues, insecurity, some are haunted by their past, some are incompetent and want to cover this up or some are just damn difficult. Understanding what is bothering them makes it easier for you to cope because you know that you are not the problem, they are. 5. Be honest with yourself - Can we talk? Are our bosses always wrong? Could it be sometimes they have a point only that may be they don't put it across in the best way? When your boss gets nasty with you, call yourself for a small meeting and analyze their sentiments. Sometimes it could be you were wrong. They could be right! (this does not at all justify mistreating people)They could give you feedback that could shape and mould you to greatness. Before you toss that resignation, think about it. If you move to another job or business with character, attitude or discipline issues, believe you me, you will have the same problem, because you are the problem! Deal with the problem first. 6. Seek help - We have have heard and seen cases of boss staff relations get nasty to extremes of suicide, depression or even ladies losing their babies through miscarriage owing to stress. Don't let it get here. Your job may be your livelihood but it's not your life! Life and health are too precious. Don't exchange them for anything. If you feel things are getting out of hand, seek relevant help. 7.Let God fight your battles - If you have ever been pushed to a corner by someone more powerful than you, then you know you that some battles can only be worn on your knees. Don't fight for yourself.let the mighty man of war do it. He who does what no man can do and opens doors no man can close. Pray, pray and pray again. God protects his own. As He fights for you, remain faithful, remain humble and remain obedient and submissive and watch God lay a table of honour for you right before their eyes. #IkoKaziKE

"Tell me about yourself" is one of most important job interview questions. It is asked in nearly every interview. Yet, most people don't nail it. Here's how you prepare a great answer to get a job offer: "Tell me about yourself" is the most important job interview question in the World. But the truth is most people suck at it. Here's how you prepare a great answer to get a job offer: 1. "Tell me about yourself" is more than just a question – it's an opportunity to sell yourself. Your answer should be around 1-2 minutes long. Keep it short and sweet. Focus on your education, work experience, and any special skills or achievements that make you qualified for this job Tell a quick story about each highlight. Tailor your answer to show how your skills and experiences match what they're looking for. 2. "Tell me about yourself" is more than just a question – it's an opportunity to be "one of them". Show your personality. Share a bit about your hobbies or interests, but keep it professional. This helps the interviewer see you as a real person, not just a list of qualifications. Research the company. Understand their values, mission, and recent news to align your answer with their needs. 3. "Tell me about yourself" is more than just a question – it's an opportunity to show your communication skills. Practice your answer until you feel confident and comfortable. This will help you sound natural and relaxed during the interview. Don’t ramble off an endless monologue of every job or life experience you’ve ever had. The key to answering "Tell me about yourself", is to be confident, concise, and show the interviewer how you can be an asset to their team. 4. Here's a great answer to "Tell me about yourself": "Hi, my name is [Name], and I'm a [Current Job] with [Number of Years] of experience in [Industry]. My passion is [Passion]. In my current role, I've had the opportunity to [Describe your accomplishments and how they relate to this job]. I'm excited for the opportunity to join [Company] because [Reason]. I believe my skills and experience make me a strong candidate for this role, and I'm excited to contribute to the success of the team."
