I got the call an hour ago. A 20 something year old male passed away with perfect kidneys. I am 2nd in line. However, the 1st person in line doesn’t appear to be an antibody match, so they said there is a strong possibility the kidney will go to me (as I am a stronger antibody match). They want me to check in at the hospital in a few hours. A few minutes before 7p they’ll know if I’m getting the kidney or not and I’ll try to update everyone. My path to recovery could start tonight.

On November 2, 2016, 34-year-old Sherri Papini went missing, leaving behind her husband and two kids in Redding, California. She reappeared three weeks later, found beside a highway, blindfolded, and significantly underweight at 88 pounds. She told authorities she had been kidnapped and abused by two Hispanic women. Investigations revealed two unidentified DNA samples on her, yet no matches were found in criminal databases. From 2017 to 2021, Sherri Papini received a substantial amount of financial assistance from the California Victim Compensation Board. Efforts to locate her supposed kidnappers continued until March 2022, when a breakthrough occurred: one of the DNA samples was linked to Sherri's ex-boyfriend, James Reyes, who disclosed that the kidnapping story was fabricated. As a result, Papini was sentenced to 18 months in prison and ordered to pay a $300,000 fine for concocting the abduction story and misleading federal investigators.

@52superstan @JebraFaushay That’s not what that means. Just like homophobia doesn’t mean the literal fear of gay people like someone might fear heights. The term is used to describe people who have a prejudice against that group, discriminate against them, hate them, etc.
