You lose your biggest advocates. - Blindside retailers and partners, and don't be surprised if those relationships become more complicated going forward. - Push everyone to digital, but offer no meaningful consumer protections. Can you lend a game? Trade it? Gift it? Preserve it if your account is banned? What guarantees do you actually have? - Tell us digital is cheaper for you, then charge us the same (or more) anyway. If manufacturing, shipping, distribution, and retailer cuts disappear... where are the savings? Especially with dynamic pricing entering the conversation.
