The Modi government is mischievous. It’s only releasing a trailor which does not represent the actual film. Of course, in view of historical importance of the matter all the criticism of the proposed constitutional amendment are understandable and justified, even. BUT, one can bet safely that all those analysts who are saying that the Delimitation exercise will reduce actual representation of the Southern states in the parliament are likely to prove WRONG. @mkstalin and other analysts shall wait till the government put its all cards on the table. We know well that all legislative actions of any government are political, always. It’s illogical to think that @BJP4India will give away on platter such a huge issue of ‘South versus North imbalance’ inside the parliament to the Southern political parties, Congress and its leaders. The Modi government is claiming that it will continue @INCIndia created proportion of representation of states inside the parliament. Meaning, current Congress created percentage of representation of Tamilnadu or Kerala won’t change even though their population rate is lesser, now. Simple matter is this: the political interests of @BJP4India in Southern India is no less than its vested interests in Ganga belt region. @RSSorg definition of nationalism and the centrality of Shankaracharya philosophy in their fundamental perspective doesn’t allow BJP to play games in allocation of seats in Parliament. Those who have studied trajectory of @narendramodi before he arrived in Delhi will vouch for it that @narendramodi has understood the importance of regional balancing for survival of the nation. As Chief minister of Gujarat he had established close contacts with non-BJP rulers of Southern states. Sometimes covertly. Some years back @AmitShah had claimed that one day he would like to see the headquarter of @BJP4India in Chennai. In Delimitation process there is no South versus North controversy or conspiracy because it will hurt @BJP4India more than anyone else. Yes, eventually, extremely manipulative politics will be played between @INCIndia and @BJP4India. Congress’s heartburns over the issue is understandable because Congress is just not ready to face these dramatic changes in Indian Democratic infrastructure. A new ground that would emerge after expansion of Lok Sabha will be a Himalayan challenge for all parties but surely bigger challenge for @INCIndia. @BJP4India can’t afford and most unlikely to play with ‘the Southern sentiments’ but definitely Congress is never ‘off the radar’ of @BJP4India.

@venkat_fin9 Actually both...centuries of caste based deprivation cannot be washed away by just one man making it through, it needs to be sustained atleast over two generations to make it stick. For all others EWS criteria should work. Why is it a question of either or?

In Panchkula, near the Khair forest area, more than 10,000 trees were cut overnight using silent cutters. Khair wood is expensive, and the logs were transported on camels. To avoid suspicion, the remaining stumps were burned. This came to the notice of a forest guard named Vijay Kumar. He said his father was a gardener, and seeing trees being cut felt like losing a part of his own family. He raised a complaint with the forest minister. But instead of action, he was suspended. He is now sitting on a protest alone. All this is happening in Haryana, where forest cover is already very low, around 3.25 percent. So far, the issue has received very little media attention.

Unaiz Khan, 12, was shot dead at point blank range by his friends at a birthday party. There are certain key things that everyone should be aware of. In the first video, the victim's father states, "If I had done it, you would have demolished my house and arrested my relatives." And he is totally correct. And now, as shown in the second video, even without an investigation, the police claimed the day before yesterday that it was an accidental death. The situation becomes even complicated because Navneet's father is a close relative of a prominent BJP leader who holds a high-ranking post in government. Navneet's father's political connections will make it nearly impossible to bring justice in this case. If we do not remain vigilant and make more noise, there is a risk that the police are simply waiting for this news to die down and purposefully prolonging the investigation. So this appeals to everyone. Please make more noise and push the BJP government to deliver justice. Otherwise, we are doomed.

I’m staying with a friend who moved to Uttarakhand 3 years ago. Today she lives in a mountain-view home where AQI is literally 10. Works remotely for an MNC. Keeps 1 cow, 1 goat & 2 dogs. All vegetables are homegrown & has full-time household help for chores. This is the new rich lifestyle. Not the Magnolias or the Camellias. This is the view from the room.

There are multiple allegations of the vaccine causing death...it's usually recommended for those who are sexually active and I am certain my daughter is not. Don't make everything about religion.
