The best thing you can do to preserve your sanity in the modern media environment is consume zero podcasts. Just stay away. Otherwise, you inevitably become like Jeffrey Sachs, babbling incoherently about how Trump attacked Iran because he's been blackmailed by Israel via Epstein

John Mearsheimer: This is much worse than Afghanistan, much worse than Iraq. He’s entered a war that he can’t win, and one could argue is likely to have catastrophic consequences. The Iranians hold almost all the cards. I think it’s very hard for most Americans to understand this, especially people who watch Fox News and are loyal supporters of the president. Iran can wreck the international economy. We are in terrible shape. We are the Titanic. And I think President Trump basically understands that, and I think his advisers understand that, and they’re trying to turn the ship so that we don’t hit the iceberg.

In China, washing machines are evolving fast. Triple-drum machines can run three separate loads at once. One main drum plus two smaller ones for delicates, all with separate water systems. Some models use AI and can be controlled from your phone.

@Clint_Davey1 Important note: find Unabridged version. The common ones have some of the best parts removed by translators and you are left with stuff like „Here author provides a long and detailed description of this skirmish but we chose to skip it”

@Clint_Davey1 Read this. It has stories of small groups of warriors marching into deep jungle, fighting off humans and beasts to find gold hidden in the tombs within giant temples, protected by blood crazed priests of child eating gods, written by a guy who actually did all that.

Iran seems to be following a strategy of unveiling more and more impressive military capabilities as the war goes on. They just fired long-range ballistic missiles at Diego Garcia, one of the most strategically significant U.S. military bases in the world (hosting B-52 bombers, nuclear subs, etc.), nearly 5,000km away from them in the middle of the Indian ocean 👇. Diego Garcia has never been hit before in any war in its 5 decades of existence, and no-one knew Iran had these types of capabilities (Iran themselves said their ballistic missile range was limited to 2,000 kilometers). Two days ago, they also took down an "unkillable" F-35 fifth-generation fighter jet, something which has never happened before (militarywatchmagazine.com/article/footag…). They've also managed to take control of the world's most strategic oil chokepoint, and have proven they can hit any strategic target in the wider Middle-East, even the most protected ones (such as Israel's Haifa oil refinery: aljazeera.com/news/2026/3/19…). All in all, it sounds almost unbelievable but Iran appears to have a genuine form of escalation dominance over the United States military, with its trillion dollar budget. In a very real way, it's even more impressive than Vietnam or Afghanistan: those countries resisted a superpower, Iran appears to be competing with one. It also makes you think: what comes next? And that's exactly what escalation dominance is all about: keep raising the stakes until the other side blinks. It's about making Trump think "wait, I thought I was picking a fight with the skinny kid and turns out he's Bruce Lee."

It’s genuinely sad to read your praise of Carlson. I don’t believe someone as intelligent and analytical as you can’t see the kind of crude propaganda he’s been pushing for some of the worst regimes in the world. Over the past few years, his work has consistently promoted Russia, now Iran, while distorting facts and pushing absurd narratives like portraying Russia as a normal free country because their supermarkets are nice. He’s done a lot of damage and at best is a useful idiot. It also feels like you lose your ability to stay objective when the topic touches Islam. You can criticize the actions of the US or Israel without turning into a dishonest propagandist for regimes like Carslon did.

Yes, what Tucker doing is just un-believable. Very important & very consequential Makes perfect sense though. When (nearly everyone) is having a mental breakdown at the sight of first disagreement, handling & engaging with the opposite views becomes a superpower

Loved it when he grilled Ted Cruz, and love him here. Tucker single handedly has been more helpful for the anti-occupation movement than decades of failed strategies

Wykorzystanie makiet terenu w wojnie ukr-rus.

The opposite, actually. Poland 🇵🇱 has absorbed 2.5 million immigrants, more than 6% of total population, over the past decade plus👇. This includes around a million of Ukrainian 🇺🇦 refugees who came after Russia’s aggression. More than 70% of the refugees are employed and have contributed between 0.7 to 1.3 percentage points to Poland’s GDP growth in 2023 alone. They also had a significant contribution to the Polish budget forbes.com/sites/lidiakur…

It's so funny seeing this stuff. There's a Houthi video editor guy. There's a guy in the Houthis who makes composes music. There's a copy approval process. God, I mean, do you think they use Slack? "No updates from me" but it's the Houthis. Just imagine. incredible
