LIFE UPDATE I will move to the UK this September to pursue my Masters degree! 🇬🇧 I will pursue MPhil in Advanced CompSci from @WolfsonCam, one of 31 colleges making @Cambridge_Uni. It's also one of the 3 colleges that admit only 21+ yr students. My excitement is through the roof.

@alexocheema @__tinygrad__ [3/3] The architecture split of AMD adds further challenge. @__tinygrad__ AMD backend uses HCQ programs, which are primarily work for CDNA & RDNA 3+ chips. I had to use HIP, I'm using RDNA 2 GPUs. Alpa and Megatron-LM style TP are primarily optimized for the CDNA path on AMD.

@alexocheema @__tinygrad__ [2/3] AMD uses RCCL for multi-GPU communication. However, AMD has integrated it into the broader, ROCm systems stack. Which prioritizes datacenter CDNA GPUs. Official documentation shows little to no native support for consumer focussed RDNA architectures.

Has anyone got tensor parallelism working with clusters of AMD Ryzen AI Max+ systems? I heard the software support is lacking but curious why that is?

@gonizahavy @exolabs @AIatAMD @HotAisle @zcbenz @shshnkp @NiketanNripesh To add further, I've recently implemented @__tinygrad__ runner on EXO. And it's fully functional on AMD Radeon RX 6650M GPU. Currently it's a single GPU implementation, now extending it to multi-device setups too. Link: github.com/exo-explore/ex…

Leave Delhi, go in debt if you have to. I used to think, how bad can the AQI really be for people in Delhi? I knew it was bad, but I never understood the scale because I didn’t feel it as drastically. I grew up in Delhi, studied here, and never felt a huge difference. You see people on the streets without masks, just walking around, and even people going for morning runs. But I was wrong. It’s a crisis. And honestly, leaving this city should be your top priority. After living in London for a few years and breathing clean air, the moment I landed in Delhi I could literally taste and smell the pollution. Even AQI 200 hit me hard: sore throat, and a feeling like needles in my lungs. I could actually feel the pollution entering my body. Please leave this city for your own sake. Buying a property here does not make sense either. Same for Mumbai. If you can, pack your bags and move yourself and your work somewhere else. I’ve cut my trip short and I’m leaving this city tomorrow.

One thing you realise when you move abroad is how precious it is to simply breathe. When people ask me what my favourite thing about living in London is, I tell them “clean air.” And I can always see the surprise on their face. But if you’ve lived in Delhi, you know exactly why. Every winter feels like survival mode. You can’t see the sky, your chest feels heavy, and you start questioning how this became normal. I’ve moved my parents out too. Because at some point, it stops being about lifestyle. It’s about staying alive. If you can afford to, please move. You can rebuild everything except your health.

I am so saddened to learn about the passing of our dearest legend Asrani ji. A man who was a genius of his craft & an artistic treasure. Although people will always remember him for his incredible comedy but he was a man of all seasons & styles. His dramatic roles were equally brilliant. But alas, his “Angraizon Ke Zamaanay Ke Jailor” from the Epic ‘Sholay’ will be remembered forever! I had the honour of working & spending time with him when I requested him to appear in my music video of ‘Lift Karade’ & I too wanted him to reenact his legendary ’Jailor’ character for which he generously agreed. He was so committed that he made sure that every aspect of his getup was from the original makers of the Sholay Movie- i.e The Wig, Moustache & Uniform. His enthusiasm and passion for his work was an example for us all to learn from. He was a thorough gentleman. He was full of love & grace. Thank you God for blessing us with the Genius of Asrani ji. Thank you Asrani ji for giving us so many memories! The world of comedy & indeed cinema is richer because of your priceless contribution.. God bless your soul & may you rest in peace… 🙏🖤 . #Asrani

tldr: tutorial is fine. will edit 5sec in good faith❤️ In reference to our Git tutorial, any Hindi-speaker will understand we used an example to tell learners NOT to do this “bad open-source practice”. The PR was never created in the tutorial and clearly told viewers repeatedly for the next 35 seconds (01:14:03 to 01:14:39) not to create a useless PR for updating the README. We assume some missed this part :) We hope this clears up any confusion. In good faith, we’ll have our team edit the 5-second segment that showed them “NOT” to do the bad practice. [this might take some time]

@ThePrimeagen chill out, jeez. anyone who's watched the vid should've watched an extra 40 seconds to get what's actually happening. she CLEARLY states that the PR shouldn't actually be raised, it's simply shown to depict the process. the kids raising those rn are the ones at fault. 😬

@striver_79 Depends on the company you're interviewing with. My experience is from the UK, slightly different than the US. UK interviews are just as hard as India, and tougher in R&D. The other reason is that UK unis provide decent knowledge of DSA anyways. They want intuition, not steps.

Very tough to penetrate USA because - The interviews are fairly easy compared to India. So if you teach in depth, they won’t bother watching long playlists/videos. They want something which just covers it enough to clear it. - English accent of Indians.

@striver_79 's DSA playlist is popular in the USA as well

I want to bring to the immediate and urgent notice of @AmitShah that we have just received shocking visuals from RG Kar Medical College where goons have attacked the college! Police is nowhere to be seen! There is absolute mayhem in West Bengal! Where is police? @MamataOfficial

Very sad that University of the Arts (where I graduated in 2004) has abruptly shut down after 150 years with no notice or communication to the students. Hopefully this helps in some way.
