@EricLevitz It's just clunky like most ai prose. You can just tell someone what it means without indicating all these things it isn't. It's not like everything you're writing needs to be an argumentative paper, but AI loves to include these wasted details

The most puzzling AI-ism to me is probably the "Not x. Not y. But z." Not the em-dashes (an essential piece of punctuation). Not "That isn't x, it's y" (a useful if inelegant way to clarify an argument). But consecutive examples of what your subject isn't -- conveyed in fragmentary, staccato sentences -- before a declaration of what it is. Feel like this is an inherently irritating rhetorical device. And I don't recall regularly coming across it in pre-AI writing. So, I don't understand why LLMs are so in love with the template

The only measure that effectively matters in determining the “closeness” of a presidential election is the margin of the swing states that determined the outcome of the election, and specifically that of the tipping point state (the individual state of each election that grant the winter the majority) The tipping point state of the 2020 election was Wisconsin, which Biden won by 0.6%. The tipping point state of the 2024 election was Pennsylvania, which Trump won by 1.7%. To add additional context, Kamala did not flip a single county from 2020 to 2024: the last time that happened was in 1932. Trump won big and it’s cope to pretend otherwise.

All politics aside I truly hope Anthony Starr gets a better role for his next gig, he’s an extremely talented actor. Until the show went full TDS and made him a parody of Trump he was absolutely killing it as Homelander. In the first season he was the best villain I’ve seen in years. If you had a fair jury pool you would have seen some instances of juror skepticism about the way the evidence was presented. Remember I had 4 jury trials. The DC jurors listened and accepted uncritically every statement uttered by an FBI Agent, and simply ignore cross-examination and the testimony of any defense witnesses. They could not have been any less interested. The cases were over before the started. Some DC residents WANTED to be on those juries because they WANTED to vote to convict before the trials even started.

@shipwreckedcrew What’s the point you’re trying to make here? There must be some large number of J6 defendants who were wrongfully convicted? That doesn’t follow from your point about local DC conviction rates. There are cameras all over the Capitol. Most of these crimes were on video.
