Did you know that YOUR tax dollars are being used to amplify a terrorist sympathizer who has called for NUMEROUS Americans to be MURDERED? Hasan Piker said I should be KILLED, all capitalists should be murdered, and Hamas did the right thing on October 7th. I’m all for free speech, but allowing THIS violent lunatic to speak at an American university (with an over $44 BILLION endowment, btw) is UNACCEPTABLE. @Yale should be ashamed and all their federal funding needs to be pulled.

Holy hell. This interview were asked two gay men with a baby if they’d heard the stats on child molestation and they immediately became violent and assaulted him.

Senior UAE official Reem Al Hashimy on Iran: We are everything that they’re not. We used our oil wealth to build an economic powerhouse. They used theirs for nuclear programs, missiles, drones, proxies. We became a responsible global player; they are a pariah state. They underestimated us.

The problem is not talking to Hasan Piker or influencers like him. Such conversations are part of democratic dialogue. The problem is figuring out how to constructively engage a new media landscape dominated by smashmouth populists of all political persuasions who talk about everything but are experts in nothing, and whose incentives run toward incendiary virality rather than accuracy. How do reporters and others have these conversations in ways that make their audiences more informed, rather than less? I have some ideas. Gift link: theatlantic.com/politics/2026/…

This is the rub with all “2 state solution” bromides from high status liberals: you ask them to define a “Palestinian state” and even their most blue sky vision is a completely humiliated bantustan occupied by foreign troops. No such comparable demands ofc are ever made of Israel
