@HadleyFreeman It could be argued that not doing Brexit broke the country.

@ShippersUnbound I look forward to his analysis regarding the pope's religious leaning.

Hard to beat this level of analysis

If Labour MPs don’t step back from the brink, they will plunge the country as well as their party into chaos.

The cabinet ministers urging Keir Starmer to consider setting out an orderly timetable for his resignation include the home secretary, Shabana Mahmood, the foreign secretary, Yvette Cooper, and the energy secretary, Ed Miliband - so holders of two of the great offices of state and a former Labour leader.
Tomorrow’s cabinet meeting will be more than usually consequential. His allies tell me he can and will resist the pressure to quit. Quite the game of chicken.

Who are we at war with? Did I miss something?

I do not want a left-right leadership battle in Labour while we're running the govt in time of war and threat. I do not want a "timetable for departure" ending in September. 1/...

@jeremycorbyn For a minute I thought you were going to get it. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

@rte I wish I could take the rights to show it away from you.

British Government in a shambles tonight. Nobody quite clear who’s in charge. Who would have thought Labour would be been even more useless than the Tories? Starmer living on borrowed time. Support ebbing away. But to what? Nobody knows. The world has rarely been more dangerous in modern times and we barely have a government.
English

@lowles_nick Don't be so modest. You also played a major part in Labour's downfall.

@BorisJohnson Paging Guiness Book of Records... is this a new hypocrisy record?

@moveincircles I wonder if there is a legal principle regarding ownership of the land, seeing as the university is saying it's on Aboriginal land?
I'd find it absolutely hilarious if they were taken to court.

This is outrageous. The guy is clearly incapacitated on the ground, having rightfully and thankfully been tased, yet two police officers are repeatedly kicking him in the head.
Who do they think they are: members of the IDF?

I’m not sure why we still have a monarch. It seems like a medieval anachronism to me; a demonstration of inherited status and the the pinnacle of an entrenched aristocracy. And I’m really not sure why our monarch has gone to the US to stand next to another man with too much power, land and money.

@kelvmackenzie I misread your tweet as "talking horse". Was hoping for some Mr Ed content.
English

The quickest way to tip Starmer out of No.10 is on May 8 a no-hoper Labour MP ( there’s plenty of them) to act as a stalking horse with just one policy; To allow Andy Burnham to stand for Parliament.
That would easily get the 80MPs required. Then the heavies could pile in.
Starmer would be gone in a heartbeat.
English

@Dennynews But he's an open-border idiot so he thinks nobody should have a lock.
