📚 An inspiring event dedicated to Janina Katz and the 🇵🇱 and 🇩🇰 experiences shaping her work brought us yesterday to the Danish Jewish Museum. With insights from Bogusława Sochańska and Janus Møller Jensen, the discussion highlighted the cultural ties linking our two countries.

This week, Polish food producers took part in Foodexpo in 🇩🇰 Herning. 🧀🍫 The visit, organised by @PAIH_pl office in Denmark, ended at our Embassy, where we also presented 🇵🇱 food industry to local entrepreneurs. 🧑‍🍳🛒 Let's hope for even more 🇵🇱 products in Danish stores! 🤩

On the National Day of Remembrance of Poles who saved Jews under German occupation, we pay tribute to those who, in times of contempt, terror, and death, did not remain indifferent. Among them were Polish diplomats from the Ładoś Group. In Bern, far from their occupied homeland but close to human tragedy, they carried out a passport operation that gave Jews a chance to survive. Aleksander Ładoś, Konstanty Rokicki, Abraham Silberschein, Chaim Eiss, Stefan Ryniewicz, and Juliusz Kühl saved Jews from the Holocaust by forging documents and restoring hope for survival. We remember. Those whose names are known, and those who remain unnamed. The victims of German crimes, and those who had the courage to save others despite the risk of death.

Always good to meet with the 🇵🇱 community, especially its youngest members. On Saturday, Head of Mission @EwaDebska_ and Consul Urszula Pawłowska‑Rojek visited the Polish School in 🇩🇰 Viborg, where pupils prepared a festive Easter performance. 🪻 Thanks for the warm welcome! 🌷

This year’s #HistoriskeDage have wrapped up, including several Poland‑focused sessions. 📜 Mariusz Kolmasiak from Royal Łazienki Museum spoke about Poland’s ties to 🇩🇰 Bertel Thorvaldsen, a creator of Warsaw’s well‑known monuments of Copernicus and Prince Józef Poniatowski. 🪨

This week, an event was held dedicated to Steen Andersen’s book exploring declassified Cold War plans – including hypothetical Warsaw Pact scenarios of a Polish attack on Denmark. Thankfully, these plans never came to life, and today 🇵🇱 and 🇩🇰 stand as close partners and allies.

On March 12, 1999, Poland became a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation – a security community based on the principle of mutual defense.🤝 NATO currently has 32 member states, whose combined defense spending is estimated at $1.4 trillion. On the eastern flank, which includes Poland, there are currently eight multinational battlegroups. ⚔️ Together we are stronger – for the security of Poland and the entire Alliance.🛡️ Twenty-seven years in NATO means twenty-seven years of cooperation, solidarity, and shared security. ✨

March 1968 marked the peak of the anti‑Semitic campaign led by the communist authorities in Poland, forcing 13,000 🇵🇱 Jews to leave, over 2,000 later found refuge in Denmark. In marking these events, Head of Mission @EwaDebska_ laid flowers at the plaque recalling their arrival.
