One of my favorite gun designs, ever, is the Browning Hi-Power. The Hi-Power was one of the first handguns that I ever shot, as my Dad got a Hi-Power Practical (blued slide, stainless frame) for his birthday when I was very young... This fact directly led to my love affair with metal frame, hammer fire guns and dual tones. To the point that my first handgun purchased on my own was the spiritual successor to the Hi-Power, the CZ-75B (which I also purchased in Duo Tone) This was the last design that St. Browning (as a protestant, the only saint I recognize) was working on when he passed away, leaving FN Herstal to finish the design by way of Browning's protege Dieudonné Saive (who later went on to design the FAL) It's double stack design was originally a stagger stack until Saive refined it and it was originally meant to fulfill a French service pistol request (which they stupidly picked the Petter Pistol instead, no wonder they lost...) This is one of the most beautifully designed and engineered guns ever made... with the Beretta 92 being the only one that comes close, in my opinion. Took me a while to find the right one, but when I finally did, I snapped it up.
