Only he knows what the summer looks like, and what our transfer plans are, but he seems pretty confident. I personally think it’s time for change, but if he’s the one in the dugout next season then we start afresh and go again. No agenda. All pushing in the same direction in hope our team improves and we win football matches.

After the World Cup, assuming nothing bad happened, we will basically have a full squad minus Ekitike and possibly Bradley. If we can address the Salah and Robbo situations as well as bringing in a 6 (like Wharton for example) there’s no excuse not to hit the ground running with at least having some sort of identity in how we play. Under klopp, we lost games and had bad times but we never truly lost the “klopp Liverpool identity” during that time. That’s why there was always an idea of “there’s a light at the end of the tunnel” I can accept losing occasionally games or having an occasional bad result with a poor performance as long as having no style, intensity or identity in how we play doesn’t become the norm. That’s how I see it

The big fear is what happens if Slot stays & we don’t start next season well. We’re back where we are now But what happens if we get the recruitment right? More pace in the team, more industry in midfield & injured players returning I’m like a broken record but for me…
