@Fenrirtheicewo1 @CannonLegDurga Zuko had everything he wanted, (before his final turn) respect from his father, his title, power, love, and what he thought was his honor, but saw what was coming and gave it all up for the greater good. THAT is why Zuko's redemption works... unlike some rodent in a bad reboot.

One of the reasons Zuko's redemption worked so well is because the writers weren't afraid to beat him down and make him still do things that hurt others and himself as he saw the horrors of his people.
They took the time to destroy him physically so they could rebuild him spiritually.

Ok, I haven’t finished reading through Invincible, so correct me if this is something that was brought up in the series after the point I’ve gotten up to, but… As we can see here, Cecil has been building Reanimen out of the dead Invincibles. And rather than freaking out, Mark is cool with it. And this was after Mark had to agree to let Thragg and the 37 remaining Viltrumites stay on Earth and rebuild their strength, which he knew would be bad news down the road. So, if he was cool with Cecil building Viltrumite Reanimen, and WASN’T cool with a Viltrumite occupation of Earth… then why didn’t he help Cecil build more Viltrumite Reanimen? As it so happened, he had access to BILLIONS of potential Reanimen. So why didn’t he fly back to the remains of Viltrum, grab up a bunch of dead Viltrumites, and shuttle them back to Earth? It’s not like he needed billions. About a hundred would’ve been enough to take care of Thragg and friends. #Invincible
