@BIMBOSATTVA_ its a generational thing, new games have realized that boss fights are the perfect way to combine every mechanic of an action game and make something epic. Older games had boss fights but they were for the most part either forgettable or downright bad

My least favorite thing in video games has ALWAYS been bosses, they're never fun, it is like, wow lets make this good game have a boring and unfun part that makes people who think Dark Souls is good clap their hands, yippe!

@SquadDisaster @CrankyTemplar they are sold on gaming platforms but they are called visual novels, I wouldnt really count them as video games but its probably subjective

@CrankyTemplar @Pogobroyt I never really knew how to categorize those. I don't consider them games, but they're not really comics either. Comics involve a lot more art and flair. I guess it's like a screenplay read by video game sprites that switch poses now and then.

@the_king_pale idk I think exp 33 is way more unique then silksong, Like it actually made me enjoy line based jrpg gameplay cause it changed it up so much. Silksong is amazing 10/10 but it really is just a metroidvania, theres nothing groundbreaking about it in terms of gameplay,

Honestly I really don't want Expedition to win. Not because its a bad game or anything but I feel like silksong deserves it. There could be another expedition. But there won't be another silksong.

I'm withdrawing from The Game Awards.
It's an honor and a dream for Megabonk to be nominated for TGA, but unfortunately i don't think it qualifies for the category "Debut Indie Game"
I've made games in the past under different studio names, so Megabonk is not my debut game 🥸

If you’re wondering why GTA 6 is taking so long: Red Dead Redemption 2 has fully rendered 3D clouds that you can fly through, in a game that has no flying… You only see this ONCE in the main story, unless you use mods. Ridiculous amount of detail.
