I turned the roast off less than two minutes in. It wasn’t a roast it was a spectacle, an attempt to turn the classic roast into an over the top media event. Roasts were private events, elegant, brutally witty, their emphasis was on affection and craft. What I saw was a commercialization of the original intent. A devolution similar to what’s happened to late night talk shows.

None of what you said is true. Tony laughs at good comedy even when he’s its target. He’s not closeted but you wouldn’t know that. For a guy who was cancelled by the Nazi left his reaction was appropriate. He’s far from a shit comic. One thing is for sure though, you’re an asshole.
