NEW: NYPD detective on sick leave allegedly snuck into the Ryder Cup with a gun in full tactical gear, claiming he was Trump's security, according to the New York Post. Detective Melvin Eng successfully made it into the tournament by claiming he was Trump's security. Eng also claimed he was working for the feds. "What if he was looking to hurt someone? He got in there with his gun, past the Secret Service, past the state police," a police source told the NYP. Eng was discovered and kicked out after he dropped a magazine on the ground. Today, I will submit a request to the Board of Elections to remove my name from the ballot in the Mayor’s race. We need every vote in a one-on-one race. I predict that’s what we will have: the one-on-one race we need to defeat an anti-capitalist, anti-cop and antisemitic agenda in City Hall. There is no law or regulation limiting a candidate’s constitutional right to have his name removed. Nor would any such limitation survive judicial scrutiny. My priority here is clear: I want no voter confusion. The BOE shouldn’t want that either. Neither should any candidate. I hope each candidate will confirm his support for this application. I will post the letter here shortly. I just can’t believe what happened while I was banking at TD on Bay Parkway and 86th Street in Brooklyn. I was in the ATM lobby when I suddenly heard someone shout, “Oh my God!” I turned and saw a woman kneeling down with her pants pulled down, urinating on the floor. Bensonhurst has drastically deteriorated over the past two years, and people seem to be generally accepting this kind of behavior. Public urination is a crime, yet no one gets arrested or prosecuted for it anymore. And over and over, they’ve failed — in part because millions of people now depend on the ACA for quality, affordable health care. Election integrity is non-negotiable. Our electoral system is the cornerstone of American democracy—something we take great pride in. It must never be compromised. According to a recent New York Post article, alarming frauds were uncovered. There were reports of individuals gaining access to mail-in ballots forms, casting votes, while the original ballot was being tore up by the family member. Even more concerning, there were mentions of someone being involved in curing ballots under questionable circumstances. Per Board of Elections records, as of July 1, the vote count was declared 100% complete with 2,196 total votes. However, by July 15, 66 additional votes mysteriously appeared—most of them favoring a single candidate. Elections are meant to reflect the will of the people, not to serve as tools for those with special access or power. This is a serious crime. It must be thoroughly investigated, and those responsible must be prosecuted and held accountable with real jail time.
