This is a hard article to read, but I hope you'll do so. I've spent some time reporting on widespread rape and other sexual violence of Palestinian male and female prisoners by Israeli authorities, and the article is now published. The assault victims were warned not to give speak of what they endured -- they were sometimes told they would be killed or raped if they gave interviews -- but they found the courage to do so. One man described being raped three times in a single day in Israeli prison, the third time after he tried to protest. A young woman said the guards would come in at the beginning of each shift and strip her naked and abuse her. Another reported that she was shown photos of herself being raped and warned they would be released unless she cooperated with Israeli intelligence. Even three children who had been detained told me they had been sexually abused. Look, whatever our position on the Middle East, we should be able to agree on being anti-rape. Sexual assaults were horrific when Israeli women were targeted on Oct. 7, and they're equally horrific when Israeli authorities use them against Palestinians day after day after day. We should be able to find common ground in opposing rape. Here's a gift link to the article: nytimes.com/2026/05/11/opi…

This has been going on for 80 years, and heavily documented. The NYTimes finally scraped together enough integrity to publish something.

Man City's net spend is not the most important factor in the discussion about their advantages. Wages is the real issue. Generally, the best correlation for success in Europe. City spend £120m a season more than Arsenal a season (£468m total). The gap has been far higher over the past 5 years (more than half a billion over 5 years more than Arsenal). That extra £121m would get you: 6.6 Bukayo Sakas 10.8 William Salibas 15.38 Jurrien Timbers The fight is not fair. What Arsenal have done to be in the same conversation is incredible.

Puskás Aréna holds 67,215. Arsenal allocated 16,824 General Admission tickets (25%) It's long been normalised but it should still be called out: only half the tickets in a final going to fans of the competing teams is avaricious, shames football and, simply, just wrong

Arsenal are still not close to the top of the salary bill table in the league. They’ve no divine right to be top of the league or in the Champions League Final. That people expect, no, demand that shows you how far he’s taken this club.

Both semi finals have been really good games between really good teams with VAR interrupting both of them like a fart in a lift. Get rid. Total VAR abolition now.

👏 All we need to do to replicate PSG and Bayern in the Premier League is make one team have the wage bill of all the other teams put together, anoint a 20 year league winner (one exception every 10 years allowed) and make the league as a whole unwatchable and over in early April

Nothing shows how much the Premier League doesnt care about fans than moving Burnley to a Monday night. Burnley fans now having to get home by 3am, and 1000s of people having to pay for travel changes because Sky wanted it moved. Nice Sunday afternoon, last home game in the sun to fighting to get there on a monday night. Consistantly show time and again how they dont care about match going fans. Clubs in question have no say.

@RepMcGarvey You’ll have to explain to me how gutting the protections in the original Ali Act while allowing promoters to operate like the UFC, whose fighters are suing them over suppressing wages to a fraction of that in boxing, a step in the right direction? Seems like a gift to Ari Emanuel
