In 2013, Luos voted for Raila Odinga, who badly lost to Uhuru Kenyatta. After which, they called Kikuyus tribals. In 2017, they voted for Raila Odinga again & kept calling Kukuyus tribals. In 2022, Kikuyus voted for William Ruto, who's a Kalenjin & Luos voted for Raila Odinga, who's a Luo but still called Kikuyus tribals. In 2027, they will vote for William Ruto because Raila Odinga, who's a Luo, will have instructed them to vote him. Kikuyus will either vote for a kisii, luhya, or a Kamba, but they will still be called tribal.
