Top load washing machine VS Front Load washing machine, which is right for you? Well you’ve come to the right place, I’ll try to keep this brief. From my perspective, I prefer the top loader, they are much easier to repair and often require less repairs over their lifespan. A well-loved top loader will also last many years longer than a pampered front load washer. The top loader is also a cleaning machine, agitators have largely been phased out but even modern top load designs without the agitator still clean MUCH better than any front load washer provided you are loading them correctly. Cycle times on top loading machines are shorter as well, for faster turnaround on your laundry. So why do front load machines dominate the modern market? Two reasons. Stacked Washer/Dryers for smaller homes, and water efficiency. A front loading washer allows you to get a full sized washing machine with a full sized dryer in a package that fits inside of a small closet. Front load washers require less water to fill, which keeps operating costs lower, however they have longer cycle times and consequently consume more electricity per load. To summarize, if you want a machine that cleans well, has a long service life, and you have the space for it, you want the top loading washer.

Ground UP is the correct answer, full stop. The reason these outlets are normally installed upside down (Ground DOWN) is because it looks like a face. Ground UP protects the live prongs from falling objects, like thin metal sheets, metal yardsticks, metal outlet covers, etc.
