The tragedy of The Thing (2011) is that the production built incredible practical creature effects… and the studio later covered many of them with CGI in post. The result ended up looking far worse than the original practical work ever did.

Am I wrong in feeling like this completely disrespects the amount of time and effort that went into working on a games visuals? Graphics and art style are often intentional. Not everything needs to be photorealistic, or more photorealistic than they are already are

If you know how to control an RC car then you already know tank controls. It’s literally the same logic.
I also love the remakes but I’d rather see a nice camera angle than stare at someone’s back the whole time.

Well my youngest might have lost his big toe today. At the hospital trying to put it back together. Huge bench tipped over and his toe took full hit. Not pretty. I wish I could take his pain away. This sucks so much.

Due to current business practices most older video games actually are better than most of what’s made today.
