Staff will now hand every product to customers instead of allowing open access. Only sugar, napkins and coffee stirrers can still be taken without asking. The pilot scheme is running in stores including West Croydon, Peckham, Whitechapel, Upton Park, Birmingham and Wilford in Nottinghamshire.
