Just for quick clarification,
I, and no one else, made the affirmative decision to withdraw from 1v1Me before Season 3 of the league starts tomorrow.
I didn’t get kicked. I withdrew myself.
Unfortunately, even though I wasn’t made fully aware of the server setup, I didn’t want the company to be put in a bad spot after recently accepting me into the program, and I didn’t want my teammate to receive unnecessary hate for my inability to play on the massive delay that NBA2K26 presents this year.
I was put in a position where I would have to play on East Coast servers only for two months straight as a West Coast player because of a slight miscommunication behind the scenes. I’m not blaming anyone. It’s just what happened, and it is what it is.
After what happened this morning in my preseason matches, along with putting people’s money at risk down the road, knowing that no matter what I do or what game it is in the series, I wouldn’t be able to perform at 100% because of the ping difference, didn’t sit right with me and didn’t feel morally fair to the people staking/investing into the matches.
There wasn’t a chat that got to me. There weren’t comments that got to me. None of that matters to me anymore. I simply want to play the game, entertain, and have a good time while giving it my best shot.
The last thing I’ll say regarding delay and servers is this… There’s a reason why most, and keyword most, of the East Coast player base doesn’t like playing on West Coast servers, especially this year.
This will be the only time I talk about this verbally. Maybe things will be different a few months from now and I can try again, but it just didn’t make sense to follow through with this decision given what I’d have to deal with.
Thank you to 1v1Me for the opportunity.
