@vmohv The story has spent most of the game treating Ryuji like a comic relief. Then they had a classic scene where the silly character does something incredible. Then the audience is made to seriously worry about them, and when they’re relived to see him back, they want to celebrate.

it’s always really funny seeing persona fans act like this scene killed their entire family, i did not know people cared this much about a throw-away anime-esque comic relief bit.

And the thing is, nothing is the “only option.” If anyone cares enough about wanting to play the original, there’s always ways to do it. And if you don’t, that’s okay too.

@PrTrizzle @magatsuizanyagi The remake feels lesser when it can't stand up to the original and needs to be the only option people are allowed to have. Such as the GTA the defective edition.

@Emeralda_Chaos @magatsuizanyagi Maybe it did but it also changed a bunch of things that were big turn offs for people, so without those turn offs more people wanna play it. Maybe it’s not wholly an upgrade in all aspects but clearly it is enough of one for people to enjoy it over the original.

@Emeralda_Chaos @magatsuizanyagi P3R is also another version of P3 it’s just made later and with modern graphics and because that has modern mass appeal that somehow disqualifies it I guess

@PrTrizzle @magatsuizanyagi Yeah, they can't but the difference is that they don't try to. They are versions of Persona 3, not replacements that go on about how they fixed the original while removing content to sell as DLC.
