In terms of verification (especially December 2025 event), HRRR and the RAP were best in the very near term as the event began to unfold. We see this a lot with convective weather. #kywx

Tonight's EURO now has a stripe of 20" snows along and south of the Interstate 71 corridor. We now have both the GFS and EURO showing some part of Kentucky hitting the 20" mark. The GFS is more expansive and a bit south of the EURO, though. #kywx

I am going to have to up to the snow totals on my map.. Latest RAP HAMMERS along the BG/WK parkways in latest run. This may be a bit too far south but widespread 10-12”+ is looking likely for many in central KY #KYwx

Looks like some of the high res (especially HRRR) is finally understanding the shallow cold air and how it should come a little quicker/stronger than modeled which is usually the case. My bio has been the same for a while. “Shallow cold air always wins”.
