Dan also appears to have missed that not all archaeologists or Egyptologists claim to be scientists. Many of us grasp that we use scientific methods as past of a social science or humanities field Maybe if Dan would read something like A History of Archaeological Thought by Bruce Trigger or the textbook Archaeology by Renfrew and Bahn he was kindly offered for free he would a) know that and b) be able to argue more persuasively
