#WATCH | Thrissur, Keralam: On the demise of Malayalam Actor Salim Kumar, Union Minister Suresh Gopi says, "Any loss of life, death, bereavement, is pain, is heart-thrashing. But when some exceptional people, or, in exceptional cases, people who are still there in your heart, leave you, the pain intensifies. I am in such a mood today because I don't know for what reason Salim Kumar, who came from a different trade and artistic arena, but still continued in that realm. He had his own very close friends. But I was very dear to him, and he was too dear to me. He still rests there in my heart..."

Karnataka CET 2026. Last year, 7 of top 10 CET engineering rankers were CBSE students. This year: 9 of top 10 are Karnataka state board. In the top 100, state board went from 54 to 79. CBSE collapsed from 45 to 19. This is definitely not about state board students suddenly getting smarter. This is a about CBSE's botched systems directly repricing students out of competitive rankings they earned in classrooms. Even as revaluation marks are still awaited , KEA has already said those marks won't be considered for CET ranks regardless. Meaning students who were incorrectly marked will carry incorrect ranks into college admissions. No correction mechanism. CBSE students of 2026 are paying the price for an administrative failure they had zero part in creating.

A candid reaction from a Mumbai audience member after watching #Bandar: "The punishment for ghosting is jail. I'm all for it! I mean, don't ghost. Like, grow up. Grow men better." #Bandar is getting people talking and that's exactly what powerful cinema should do.

Our daily lingo, thesaurus, and expression bank for sharing all sorts of emotions in life with every other Malayali came from his rich reservoir of legendary lines and expressions, giving the people at both ends so much joy just by seeing his face and expressions on those stickers and GIFs. While surrounded by equally talented peers, he carved out a distinctly unique path, delivering his lines and expressions in a way that was uniquely his own, and became a true legend soon enough! Farewell, Salimetta! You are and will always be an irrefutable part of our lives! Thank you for making our lives so much more bearable with your unforgettable performances. #Salimkumar

@Dhananjayang Absolutely spot on sir. If they know how not to dub till payment is released or ask for retakes if they are not happy with th shot, they should also know how to not shoot if they are not happy with the aesthetic.

Reading many posts on the objectification of Women in films especially after controversy relating to #Peddi … being a part of filmmaking process, strongly feel it’s the responsibility of everyone involved (Director, DoP & Actor) to shoot with proper permission of the actors such shots or angles. It’s also the responsibility of the actor to check the footage shot (monitor is there or spot edit) and remove the shots which they feel not appropriate. Actors who don’t bother these (checking the monitor or spot edit or even after the content is ready), complaining after the film is released is not fair . Why allow it to go and then crib ? Filmmaking is a time consuming and collaborative process and the content comes out to theatres after many months of shooting. So actors have time to stop prior to their release during this process time unless they are not bothered and react only after getting trolls on the shots … along with Director & DoP, will blame the actor too for such presentation, for allowing such shots to go to theaters ✍️

If the leaked chat is real, it raises an important question. If concerns about the objectification angle were raised in advance by #Ramcharan, why did those scenes still make it to the screen by the director? And if they weren’t part of the orginal script, what exactly changed between writing nd execution? #Peddi #JanhviKapoor

@nakulvibhor Reported - but no theatre name, no location, nothing about whose idea it is. Just reported. What a tragedy that someone actually reproduced it without any thought.

It was reported that a movie theater displayed  a short film which began with a snapshot of the room ceiling. No details, no colors. Just a white ceiling The same scene remained displayed for 6 long minutes when the moviegoers started to get frustrated. Some complained about the film wasting their time and others started to leave Suddenly, the camera lens slowly started to move until it reached down towards the floor. A small child who appeared handicap was lying fixed on the bed, suffering from a spinal cord tear The camera then pans back up to the ceiling with the following words We showed you only 8 minutes of this child's daily activity, only 8 minutes from the scene that this handicap child watches at all hours of his life, and you complained and weren't patient for even 6 minutes, you couldn't bear to watch it Sometimes we need to put ourselves in others shoes in order to realize the magnitude of blessings we are given and to thank God for bestowing us with such blessings that we take for granted

@Iconic_Powerism Will these stars step on stage or dub for a movie if the payment is pending?? No. A scene with zero aesthetic and vulgarity is equally on same plane, but due to the controversy and limelight, PR team just utilises it to the max.

@georgeviews You should have seen the promo interview feat. Jayaram and Urvashi. What cock and bull stories they told about how good the script is. Urvashi calling Jayaram poyyandi was the only true moment. I think Promotions before release is a scam!!

Director Pandiraj's writing in Parimala and Co is a new low. We are in 2026, yet he is still relying on the oldest, laziest, and most toxic tropes to get a cheap laugh. Making jokes about Yogi Babu's skin tone and body features is pathetic. Yogi Babu might get paid crores to accept these digs, but what about regular people who look like him? This lazy writing just forces deep insecurities onto everyday viewers who do not fit a specific beauty standard. Naming a character after Nayanthara's children just to make mean jokes is completely wrong. No matter what problems anyone has with Nayanthara or Vignesh Shivan, dragging innocent kids into this is terrible. Nayanthara should seriously take legal action against the filmmakers for doing this.

@bekhayalime why is that stars who refuse to go one stage, dub or attend functions till payment is made, are unable to take the hard stance when it comes poor writing and sleaze?? This a question they need to ask themselves. Somehow i feel their priorities lie in the income not the outcome

PROOF THAT THE SOUTH INDIAN INDUSTRY ARE DISGUSTING AND THEY TREATS WOMEN LIKE OBJECTS Janhvi Kapoor revealed to her fans on Instagram how disgusting some South Indian producers and directors can be. Even after she expressed discomfort with certain camera angles and repeatedly asked for those shots to be removed, they were still kept in the movie. It was only when Ram Charan raised his voice that a few shots were finally removed and those shots were even more degrading. It’s horrifying that an actress’s wishes were ignored despite her clear discomfort, only for the producers to listen when a male actor intervened. Truly shameful‼️

Janhvi Kapoor liking this post brutally exposes the toxic culture in segments of South Indian cinema, a culture obsessed with sexualizing women and fixating on the female navel. Even after Janhvi Kapoor said no, they went ahead and kept the footage, deliberately oversexualizing her in Peddi

@amitbhatia1509 The saddest part of the entire #Peddi #JanhviKapoor contoroversy is that every one is sharing the same image which we all are criticising the makers for. Is it needed to prove our point. Its just a game of reach management now!!

A genuine question: If #JanhviKapoor had concerns about how her character was presented in #Peddy, weren't those concerns visible during the shoot, dubbing, promotions, or even after watching the final cut? The trailer already showcased the same portrayal that's now being criticized. So why like posts claiming the film focused only on her appearance and didn't utilize her properly? Was she unaware of the characterization, or is this criticism being endorsed only after the film's release?
