🚨 UPDATE ON MY CARD UPGRADE 🚨 Today I received another email from HDFC Bank 📩 They clearly mentioned that the upgrade from HDFC MoneyBack Plus Credit Card ➝ HDFC Millennia Credit Card is now being offered as “Lifetime Free” for selected customers 👀🔥 But here’s my situation 👇 I upgraded yesterday itself. Now my big question is — How can I ensure I get this Lifetime Free (LTF) offer? 🤔 Should I: • Contact customer care and request LTF confirmation? • Ask for written email confirmation? • Wait for card dispatch details? • Negotiate based on spend history & limit upgrade? If anyone successfully converted their upgrade to LTF, please guide 🙏 #CCGeeks your suggestions are welcome 💳🔥 Let’s help each other avoid unnecessary annual fees! #HDFCBank #Millennia #CreditCardUpgrade #LifetimeFree #LTFOffer #CreditCardIndia #FinanceTwitter #PersonalFinanceIndia #RewardStrategy #CashbackCard #MoneyManagement

I tried Reserve to MRCC today. Here is the full story 👇 👉In 2024, I had closed my Amex Gold Charge Card just 4 months after activation to apply for the Amex Platinum Charge Card. Amex refunded the Gold Charge Card joining fee on a pro-rata basis. 👉Fast forward to today. I’ve experimentally tried Amex Reserve (had applied in my wife’s name) → MRCC upgrade. The Reserve Card was approved just last week and the fee hasn’t been charged yet. Let’s see how this plays out 🤞 (⚠️ TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK) As of today, Amex is allowing upgrade / downgrade from Reserve Card to MRCC ✅ and SmartEarn Credit Cards. Here’s the exact timeline 👇 👉 25th Jan 2026: Applied Amex Reserve Credit Card for my wife 👉 27th Jan ’26: Card approved 👉 30th Jan ’26: Card delivered 👉 1st Feb ’26: Spent ₹30k+ 👉 2nd Feb ’26: Received 15,000 points 👉 2nd Feb ’26: Claimed Accor Explorer Membership + Taj Epicure Membership via Amex Experiences App 👉 2nd Feb ’26: Upgraded to Membership Rewards Credit Card (MRCC) – MRCC joining fee is ₹1,180 (incl. GST) : Amex Reserve Card fee of ₹11,800 (incl. GST) has not been charged yet. Now, possible outcomes as I see them 👇 ✅ Best case scenario: Only MRCC fee of ₹1,180 is charged. 15k joining points stay with me. Accor Explorer + Taj Epicure memberships remain active. 👉 Middle ground: Only MRCC fee of ₹1,180 is charged. 15k Reserve joining points are reversed. and hopefully the Accor Explorer & Taj Epicure memberships stay since they were claimed before the upgrade. ❌ Worst case scenario: Reserve Card fee of ₹11,800 is charged. I have got 15k points against it. Accor Explorer & Taj Epicure membership are honoured. MRCC Fee of Rs.1,180 is charged. I’ll keep you posted once Amex settles this 👀 ✳️ If anyone wants to apply for the Amex Reserve Credit Card, here’s my referral link: bit.ly/46eCjfc 👉 Reserve → MRCC upgrade is currently working via this link: americanexpress.com/en-in/account/… This route may get discontinued anytime 🤞(⚠️ TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK) 📘 Visit SpendWisely Blog: Detailed credit card reviews & guides 👉 spendwisely.in Some links may be referral links in the above post.
