@aayushchugh FK ref to organiser_settings or a snapshot with timestamp is worth it if you ever need to audit why value was set would glad to be corrected if wrong
English

@aayushchugh run one time backfill migration that copies the current organiser_settings values into past events where those columns are null also one thing worth reconsidering though copying settings at creation time means you lose the link to why value was set.
English

I need some suggestions for improving this flow.
We have a default options flow for organisers in Avenue. Organisers can use these options to select default values that are applied to each event.
Currently, I maintain this in the database as follows:
I have an organiser_settings table where I save all the default options. When a new event is created, I copy the settings from there and populate the event’s table’s columns with the values.
This approach keeps the overall settings independent of the event, allowing me to prioritise the event’s values and return values from the events table in all APIs.
The organiser_settings table is used only during the event creation flow to copy values.
Now, I’m confused about what to do for past events. Currently, no default options are applied to past events, but they should be applied as well.
