Thank you @RepKweisiMfume ! Now we need @MDEnvironment to stop coal dust from the uncovered terminal in Curtis Bay and for @EPA to require coal cars nationwide to be covered. This is a small step to address a preventable exposure to toxins.

The millions of tons of coal that travel by rail across the U.S. and through #CurtisBay produce harmful dust that flies from uncovered rail cars into our breathing air, our waterways, and ultimately our lungs. #ICYMI, yesterday I questioned #EPA Administrator Michael Regan on a letter I sent to his agency in SUPPORT of a petition seeking to have covers placed on railroad cars carrying coal. Special thanks to Baltimore City Councilwoman @PhyliciaPorter_ for her long-term advocacy on this issue and on behalf of the affected communities in #SouthBaltimore.
