Fake raises, Real Losses: Lessons from Zama venom and more In a world filled with lies, hype, and the mantra "fake it till you make it", and a world where  price action is gorged and funding claims are often fake,  everyone, especially CT, needs to open their eyes wide before believing tantrums projects thrown at them . A few moments ago, while wracking my brain about what to write on @zama_fhe, the Confidential Blockchain Protocol that enables developers with the ability to write confidential smart contracts, so they can build decentralized apps with full privacy and confidentiality on the blockchain, leveraging Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE), I took a drive to my regular go-to research site (cryptorank). On getting there, I typed the keyword "Zama" and clicked. In less than a few secs, I landed on the funding page. While all the information about the project stared at me, one thing stood out: the funds raised. #ZamaCreatorProgram

@Medzonetv I don't think mdcn is interested in ensuring doctors keep updated with global practices but fees

The MDCN just dropped a memo on CPD, and we need to talk about the reality of what this means for every Nigerian doctor. For those wondering, CPD (Continuing Professional Development) is basically the council’s way of ensuring we aren't practicing with "expired" knowledge. To get your license every year, you now have to prove you’ve sat through enough seminars and courses to earn 20 units. In theory, this is great. A doctor who stops learning is a danger to the public. But in practice? It’s starting to feel like a subscription service we never asked for. We just survived a massive hike in annual license fees, and now we’re expected to pay separate fees to buy these CPD points. If the goal is truly self-improvement and better patient outcomes, why isn't this training free? Or at the very least, why isn't it covered by the licensing fee we already pay? It’s even more frustrating for our colleagues in the diaspora. They are already doing CPDs to satisfy regulators in the UK or US, yet they’re being asked to pay extra to keep their Nigerian license active. If a fee must exist, it should be uniform and transparent. A doctor is a doctor, regardless of where they are currently practicing. What do you guys think? Is the MDCN overstepping with these extra costs, or is this a fair price for “standardization"?

@Evian101x Is this what you have to say? Oh, I get it. You had to resort to insulting because you had nothing to say. Now you just proved how brainless you are. Moreover, who had a convo with you earlier?

I’m a medical laboratory science student, but I don’t agree with you. Conditions like Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension do not exist in isolation. They have downstream effects on the kidneys, liver, electrolytes, and cardiovascular system. That’s why you see EUCr, Ca/PO₄/Mg, LFTs, lipid profile, glucose indices, and urinalysis requested together. Each of them answers a specific clinical question. If the argument is about cost and accessibility, that’s a separate and valid conversation. But from a clinical standpoint, these are not “too many tests.” They are what provide the clarity needed to make informed decisions and manage complications effectively.
Hafaz, MLS🧛🏾‍♀️🥼@Hafaz_the_1st

You'll see only one pt with request for EUCr, Ca, PO4, Mg, LFT, LP, TP and Alb, Fbs, HbA1c, Urinalysis...everything like this is already above 20k

He was one of us. A medical student who had just finished his 4th MBBS exams. On the very day of his viva, his heart failed him and the system failed him even more. A hospital was minutes away. Doctors were present. Students trained to save lives were there. CPR was done for about an hour. But the ambulance that came had no oxygen. No stretcher. It had to turn back. And in that gap… we lost him. This is not just one death. This is a mirror held up to a system that is breaking under the weight of neglect. Hospitals without equipment. Emergency services that cannot respond. People who cannot afford care even when it exists. Today it is him. Tomorrow, it could be any of us. This is a call for urgent attention to healthcare, emergency response, and basic infrastructure. Lives depend on it not statistics, not speeches, but real people with dreams, families, and futures. We cannot normalize this. We must demand better because human life should never be this disposable!!! REST IN PEACE OREOLUWA 🕊️🥼🩺

Nurses want to be doctors so bad. This one even gives himself a “doc” twitter handle. Snark aside, I’m actually in favor of more scope of practice for nurses. It does expand access, even if it’s minimal. However, that must come with honesty towards patients. There are rules against false advertising. There are rules surrounding commercial speech and professional conduct. There are specific laws, held up by federal courts, that prohibit nurses from claiming to be doctors. A paralegal can’t claim to be a lawyer. That’s illegal. So the broad principle is already normal across licensed fields: you can punish someone for misrepresenting professional status or doing regulated work without the license, especially where the public could reasonably be misled.
Ron Ray@ENPDoc

@DrDiGiorgio I have a clinical doctorate just like DOs, Podiatrist, clinical psychologist, pharmacist etc. Not all “doctors” are MDs. We can all see how arrogant you are. You must be a joy to work with. Looks like you are wrong again.

𝐎𝐧 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟗, 𝐈 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝟏𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐜𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 (𝐁𝐔𝐀𝐌𝐒). If I’m being honest, this journey did not start here. It started quietly. No title. No spotlight. Just responsibility. I was in the Chaplaincy. Showing up. Doing the work. Making sure things ran even when no one noticed. That season taught me something I carried through everything else: Leadership is not about being seen. It is about being consistent. Then came the Vice Presidency. Things changed. I started to see the gaps. How things fail when there is no structure. How teams struggle when direction is not clear. That phase taught me something else: Good intentions are not enough. Systems are what make things work. Then came the Presidency. No buffer. No excuses. Everything comes to you. What works. What fails. What must be fixed. And one decision shaped the entire tenure: We would not just run programs. We would build systems and deliver measurable results. So we got to work. We built a coordinated internal structure for the first time through operations and membership tracking. We made accountability real across committees. We strengthened welfare, not just in words but in action: • Direct support reaching 200+ students • A full outreach with 15+ medical personnel • Medical care, medications, and welfare packages delivered • Welfare hotline and feedback system launched • Financial support provided where needed We made finance structured: • Full documentation across the entire tenure • Spending aligned with approved budgets • Financial literacy and opportunities opened to students We fixed communication: • Monthly newsletters introduced • Town halls organized • Information became consistent, not scattered We also grew visibility and reach. Not by chance, but by consistency: • 350+ Instagram posts • 60+ TikTok posts • 1,500+ new Instagram followers • 200+ TikTok followers • 370+ LinkedIn followers built • Revival of BUAMS on X With: • 150,000+ reach • 20,000+ engagements • 41,000+ video views We invested in capacity. • 550+ participants in a multi-country LinkedIn workshop • Research training that led to students presenting across Africa • Sessions guiding students into international pathways Then came the flagship moments. The Clinical and Scientific Conference: • 283 registrations • over 400 total engagements • Participation across institutions The Health Week: • Over 1,000 physical engagements • Multiple full-capacity events • 15,000+ digital reach • Free health services, outreach, awareness, and student programs executed at scale We strengthened everything else too: • Sports competitions across institutions • Sponsored tournaments secured • Social and cultural platforms built • Academic support systems activated • Committees made functional, not symbolic And competitively: • 1st Runner-Up — BUSA Debate • Winners — BUSA Spelling Bee • Finalists — NiMSA Southwest At the end of it all: BUAMS is stronger, more structured, and financially better than it was inherited. I will miss BUAMS. Not just the meetings. Not the events. But the responsibility. The work. The opportunity to build something that affects others. To the next leadership: You are inheriting a working system. Understand it. Improve it. Do the work. And now, we move forward. Grateful for the journey. Grateful for the growth. Ready for what is next.

I asked web3 for one last win before Christmas and it gave me $RAVE @RaveDAO My accumulated point of 6200+ = 12400+ $RAVE token which = $3000 airdrop 🫵 As I have said before, opportunities never run dry in crypto, do your research and you’ll always farm the best project. Charts pretty organic and climbing, glad to be a top partner of Ravedao. Stay locked in like Farmercist…

Big wins 🤩🤩 I handed over as President. We organized a major global event this year — the Harvard–Babcock Health Hackathon. My team at Clerksmart came 3rd 🥉 I met amazing mentors and leaders in spaces I truly want to grow in. But honestly… chai 🥹 I worked so hard for all of this.
