AGRA ADMINISTRATION DID NOT FOLLOW THE PRINCIPLES OF NATURAL JUSTICE - HON. ALLAHABAD HIGH COURT. #Justice is one of the most important ideals in our society. It's what we strive for in order to create a fair and equitable world. Martin Luther King said, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.” The Honourable Allahabad High Court has finally passed a 30 page judgement on the writ filed by #Dayalbagh authorities against the @OfficeOfDMAgra, Tehsildar Sadar, Lekhpal, @agrapolice and others. In its order dated 8th November 2023, the Hon. Court has very clearly stated that - 1) The administration did not follow the principles of Natural Justice. 2) Denied Dayalbagh the opportunity to represent itself. 3) Acted in undue haste without any valid reasons. Thus the Hon. Court has quashed every action and notice issued by the administration just on this basis without getting into details of the rest of the points raised by Dayalbagh authorities. Of course the call for #JusticeForDayalbagh will continue by the adherents of the sect. But it is a clear sign of how deep-rooted the mess in the administration despite the direct guidance of Hon. @myogioffice and @ChiefSecyUP. FIRs on certain revenue officers have still not been addressed and a personal agenda has been converted into a state vs a respectable charitable society issue. An order of 1983 from the Agra Tehsildar Office clearly states that the land in contention is privately owned and the same needs to corrected in revenue records. Yet the current officers are deliberately ignoring the same it seems. Does Anarchy exists in this department at #Agra? It certainly seems as of now and this despite the Agra administration having lost every claim it has made against Dayalbagh which has peacefully existed since 1915 and has helped Agra Administration for every productive and legitimate requirement of the city. The Hon. High Court has given the first legal and moral victory to Dayalbagh and law will take its own course. But it is time for the administration to reflect and ponder on its actions and the officers involved need to be taken to task and be reprimanded for the injustice and the atrocities inflicted. Will the adminstration rectify its errors or will it continue to inflict further pain and atrocities on the peaceful and law abiding citizens?
