The Government of Arunachal Pradesh will erect a statue in memory of Late Shri Gyamar Padang, in recognition of his public-spirited contribution to society and governance. Late Shri Gyamar Padang, who was also a recipient of the State Gold Medal (posthumously), played a significant role in drawing attention to certain gaps in the recruitment system and contributed towards strengthening transparency, accountability, and efficiency in governance and public institutions. Today, I met his family members, and conveyed my heartfelt respect and condolences. The memorial will stand as a lasting tribute to his life and as an inspiration for future generations to uphold honesty, responsibility, and public service.

The diversity of Arunachal Pradesh is truly fascinating, and each tribe carries its own unique history, culture, and struggles. While doing my research, I often feel inspired by scholars who have dedicated their work to documenting and understanding these communities. One such inspiring work is by Dr. @PremTaba who conducted detailed research on the Puroik tribe during his PhD at Rajiv Gandhi University. His article titled “Emancipation and Identity Formation: The Puroik Experience in Arunachal Pradesh” offers a deep and meaningful insight into one of the most marginalized communities of our state. I read this article in the year 2024 December and completed in 2025 July, due to my busy schedule I couldn’t read earlier however, having completed reading his article, I thought of giving a review on his work on my blog. So lets go! academia.edu/166125507/Revi…
