Only the struggle builds the second. Same with every hard call a mind has to learn to make. The verification is cheap. The search is where the player is built. Order is everything.

You learn what the best move is without building the faculty that finds best moves. The board looks solved. The player never forms. That is the difference between a player who knows the answer and a player who can find one. The engine can hand you the first.

The chess section is the heart of this, and it is worth sitting with why the order worked. When you force yourself to find the move before the engine speaks, you are made to do the one thing that builds a player: hold the whole position in your head and commit under uncertainty.
