@Brockster310 I don’t think Pep employs that so confidently if Raya is playing, that is my point. Also think there were times the FB was clearly open. Not having a true AM was the bigger miss. It’s out there now though so (hopefully) can’t be used again.

@Price_isRight17 I am not saying Raya would not have found a couple more chances to pass than Kepa. I am saying they would have been passing chances City would have been happy to let us have.

Can’t be ok with sticking with the cup keeper and then getting upset about losing. 1st goal entirely on Kepa. 2nd goal is something Raya stops regularly.

@Brockster310 For sure, but Raya has the ability to skip that block which probably would’ve helped to keep them a bit more honest. MØ and Eze out plus Rice/Zubi means it’s always going to be a more rigid attack, fairly easy today to defend.

@Price_isRight17 I think not having either MØ or Eze or Merino was huge here. And yeah, Raya is better than Kepa but also think we would have struggled even with Raya today - they cut off our passing lanes with that front block of 4 and Kepa wasn’t the only one having issues progressing the ball

@Brockster310 It’s absolutely fine that he started, just pointing out that given the skillsets involved, Raya to Kepa is a bigger drop off than GD to Trafford. Havertz being forced into the #10 was tough, would’ve liked to see more against that back line though.

@Price_isRight17 Maybe? Still 100% fine with Kepa starting. Rather have my #2 feeling trusted and part of the team for the run out in the Prem and CL. Also, distribution is immaterial if you don’t have the ball. Pep’s second half adjustment neutered us.

I spy a red herring. The interview wasn't messy because Trump was Trump. The issue is Pate had 10 minutes, promised his audience a college football interview, and never asked a single question about NIL, portal, etc. Trump didn't dodge those questions. They were never asked.

Hunter Henry big game loading? Seahawks are 29th in TE yards allowed at 67 per game. They just gave up 9 for 127 and a TD to Trey McBride, and earlier let Kyle Pitts went 6 for 90. A lot of that damage came with Nick Emmanwori in coverage too, and he’s legit, 61 zone targets this season without allowing a TD, second most in the league behind Christian Gonzalez. That’s the key. Get Henry in man looks vs Emmanwori, attack the middle, and let him eat. If Seattle can’t clean that up, Henry has a real shot to go off Sunday.
