DLSS 5 currently requires two RTX 5090s to run and looks like AI slop. Nvidia hopes to bring it down to only one GPU before release. This model looks objectively worse than the previous model and it is extremely taxing on GPUs. DLSS is supposed to offer better performance when turned on, not worse. I suspect that Nvidia will do what they do best with future GPUs, which is focusing more on AI performance gains that will yield better DLSS 5 results.
