The most important thing in crypto trading people rarely talk about: How to view money as real and not real during the same cycle. When bull starts, common sense evaporates from this space. You have to look at numbers on the screen as fictional points in order to be able to recklessly trade completely worthless coins. If you don’t, you will probably end up missing every runner and you will leave insane amount of money on the table. You can’t look at it as real money, because you would realize that aping 50/100k into a fresh new shitter is idiotic and you would middlecurve every play. But when bull is about to be over and euphoria is high and dumb things start happening, you suddenly have to go back and completely override your mindset. You need to suddenly shift to: “Yes, 10k/50k/100k/500k/1m is a lot of money and these aren’t just numbers on the screen.” Crypto requires you to be retarded and numb - if you aren’t, you aren’t going to make any meaningful amount of money. But it also requires you to be humble and wake up from that numbness on time, because if you don’t, you are going to lose everything you worked for. Finding balance between these two, both during bull and bear market, and the transition between them is crucial. Knowing how and when to shift from one mindset to another is how you get to keep the majority of your profits. If you never learn how to manage this, you are doomed to keep making the same mistakes forever. Trading is 90% psychological game. It doesn't matter how good your edge is if you suck at managing emotions. Master that and you will outperform 9/10 market participants every cycle.

I wish I put more effort in on Crypto Twitter past 9 years. I have traded with same group of people since 2017 and found 2 more great ones in 2020 defi era. I made friends for life and I trusted them and they trusted me with ton of capital over the years. Majority of them I have never even met and pooling 7-8 figs for deals was completely normal thing, and still is to this day. We are just anon discord bros who grew up together. In 2017 - I ran one of the most profitable arbitrage bots, not because I was the smartest - there was simply no competition. You could arb stuff manually with 50% margin even if you were 30 mins late between Etherdelta and CEXs sometimes - that is how inefficient market was. In 2020 - I was the first to run sniping bot on Uniswap with dev friend. That lasted for solid 3 months and was the easiest money ever, and nothing will ever match it in terms of fun and adrenaline. Better devs came in soon after and simply killed us with faster servers we couldn't compete with. Ended up playing with 1000s of protocols/farms for the rest of cycle. In 2021 - I was in the top 3 nft traders (volume wise), but I never wanted to bother with CT. It was toxic place then, and it is even worse now to be honest. A lot of people I traded with from that era capitalized on growing following and became main characters. Do I regret my decision to focus on trading? Hell no. I do sometime wish I put more effort in here, especially seeing how many new people I have met from here in the past few months after doing minimal amount of tweeting. It was absolutely worth it. What I didn't realize is that even if I consider 99% of people here to be net negative for the space - networking with that 1% is extremely worth it. When you are stuck in same echo chambers for years - you miss out on a lot of cool stuff and very often you end up being too late to the trades. I realized in the past 2 years that I wasn't learning anything new anymore in groups I was in. I was providing value, info and alpha every day but majority of OG friends either quit or became too complacement. If I put 10% of that stuff into tweets - it would have been 100x more worth it. Hopefully my motivation for CT won't die out, I love trading in peace, and sometimes I get too caught up in toxicity here and that time is way better spent finding alpha than reading or engaging in so much noise. I fully believe though that it's extremely worth it for almost everyone in this space to do their best to grow here. Makes it infinitely easier to connect with good people and a lot of opportunities simply stumble upon you. Hoping that 2026 ends up being better year than 2025, and wishing everyone who didn't have great year to make it all back double. Here to stay and grow 🫡
