@TheYorubaTimes To the "Yoruba ronu" people, over to you... The earlier we agree that this is a common problem, the better for us as a people. This is the worst time to play the tribal or religious card.

President John Mahama of Ghana is showing us what democracy and true leadership will look like under a good leader. In less than 2 years, he has done a lot to improve the conditions in Ghana and rewrite the African narrative in global context. Nigeria needs a leader like @PeterObi - sincere, vibrant and empathetic.

Air travel in Africa is broken — to fly from Lagos to Luanda, you might have to stop in London or Lisbon. As @WTO chief @NOIweala noted at an aviation summit in Nigeria this week, governments across the continent treat the aviation sector "as a revenue source to be extracted," rather than a key enabler for business, trade, and prosperity. And that's costing the continent billions. Poor flight connections, sky-high ticket prices, and hostile visa rules hinder the exchange of people, goods, and ideas: • The same distance that costs $175 for a roundtrip flight in Europe can cost nearly $2,000 in Africa (i.e., Athens-Berlin vs. Lagos-Freetown) • Average air taxes in Africa are twice those of the Middle East • Flights within Africa operate at ~75% capacity on average, the lowest of any region worldwide And "despite the high ticket prices," Okonjo-Iweala noted, "African airlines earn less than the global average in terms of profit per passenger." The full cost structure — and the individualistic mindset behind it — needs to change. Africa's economic future depends on leaders and citizens thinking not just big, but continentally. --- 👉🏽 Afridigest Intelligence — real intelligence to win in Africa's growth markets: afridigest.com/intelligence | Follow Afridigest on LinkedIn & Instagram

@IdrisZekeriJnr The question is how do we prevent electoral malpractice because these people are natural liars and thieves... Since they will be prepared to go the extra mile to hold on to power, Nigerians must begin to think out solutions collectively.

@OurFavOnlineDoc Yet, there are people who will never see anything wrong with the government or with Nigeria under Tulumbu as someone calls him. Those supposed city boys have sold their souls and would rather prefer to see a blood-drenched Nigeria than have someone else take power.

The questions Dr Enenche asks in this video are eye-opening and heartbreaking. These questions shows we have a government in Nigeria that is full of wicked heartless soulless animals who will rather watch helpless people die while they chase elections.

@OurFavOnlineDoc If the supposed President didn't even go near Jos, why should anyone take him seriously? Why should the bandits fear him? There's simply no leadership in Nigeria. Tinubu and the APC need to go. We cannot continue like this.

“What is under this tree there are cørpses of 3 young people who were killed by terrorists last night, 3rd April 2026, in Nyango Gyel, Jos in Plateau while many other victims are currently in hospital and some escaped” -Young Man narrates this afternoon.

@Admiral_Cyborg Some people are just adamant to vote 🗳 for whoever fills their stomach... No matter what we say or write, some are simply beyond redemption. They will sell their future as long as you give them food. Maybe they already imagine they have no future at all... Sad!

Tinubu in Jos Confirms ‘Don't Vote for Me’ Prediction on Power Supply During the 2023 campaign, President Tinubu made a clear electoral promise: “If I don’t give you constant electricity in four years, don’t vote for me for a second term.” When he took office in 2023, Nigeria had a power supply of over 4,000 megawatts and lower tariffs. Today, the electricity power supply is less than 4,000 megawatts on the average, and Nigerians are paying higher tariffs. Nigeria currently has the lowest per capita electricity consumption in the world, with a rate below 30% of the African average. Africa’s average is 617kwh, Nigeria’s is 144 kWh. This means that Nigerians consume least electricity than other Africans. In a glaring display of disregard for promises and a lack of trust, President Tinubu, during a brief airport stopover to visit grieving families of the Jos attack on Thursday, April 2, 2026, stated that one of the reasons for his 10-minute stay was that the airport had no electricity. “You have no light here I fly out in ten minutes” At a time when Nigerians are enduring days without power, our leaders cannot even stay a few minutes without it. Now is the time to stop incompetent leaders—those lacking the capacity and compassion—who prioritise their own comfort over the well-being of the people and make empty promises. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

In 2026, it is heartbreaking to see Nigerians leaving their homes and places of comfort because of bandits. Many in this video don't even know where their next home will be. A president supposedly goes to comfort a troubled state but stops short at the airport, without getting closer to the areas of concern. If the Grand Commander of the Armed Forces won't go near, why should the people trust the military to rescue them? This performance visit shows that the government prioritizes image over impact. Nigeria used to be the Giant of Africa. What has happened to us? It seems the last 10+ years under the APC administration have been more of a curse than a blessing to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The roots of this retrogression trace back to 2015. It is deeply saddening to see how far we have fallen.

Leadership Without Compassion is Not Leadership During his visit to Benue State in June 2025, Bola Ahmed Tinubu stopped at the Government House but did not go to the actual scene where innocent Nigerians lost their lives. Similarly, yesterday in Jos, his engagement ended at the airport instead of at the affected communities. What happened in Plateau yesterday highlights a complete absence of leadership. True leadership requires presence, empathy, compassion, and a willingness to meet people where their pain truly lies. For citizens who have just lost loved ones, homes, and their sense of safety, being addressed from an airport tarmac is profoundly inadequate. This approach exacerbates the sense of abandonment already felt by innocent Nigerians who have endured repeated cycles of violence without meaningful protection or justice. Plateau deserves more than distant words; it requires urgent action and a clear commitment to ending the insecurity that continues to claim innocent lives. In such moments, leadership must not only be visible but also tangible—standing with victims, listening to survivors, and acknowledging the depth of their grief. If we truly desire a better Nigeria, we must demand leadership that is present, responsive, and responsible at all times. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO
