PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU APPROVES APPOINTMENT OF NEW DG/CEO FOR NATIONAL BIOSAFETY MANAGEMENT AGENCY President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has approved the appointment of Dr. Fatima Suleiman Zuntu as the new Director-General/ Chief Executive Officer of National Biosafety Management Agency (NBMA), for an initial term of four (4) years, effective from April 16, 2026 in accordance with the provision of Section 5 of the National Biosafety Management Agency, 2015. Dr. Fatima Suleiman Zuntu is a Public Health professional and policy strategist with a proven track record of driving impactful national programs. The President tasks the appointee to contribute her expertise to the agency for the good of the Nation.

The massacre of over 160 innocent Nigerians in Kaiama LGA Kwara state is shocking and condemnable. My heart goes out to Governor Rahman Abdul Razaq and the people of Kwara. I am fully aware of the efforts that they are making in the state to curb this terrible menace and it is unfortunate that some internal collaborators are assisting these murderers and are playing politics with the whole situation in an attempt to discredit and rubbish the efforts of both the state and Federal Government. I thank @officialABAT for ordering the swift deployment of troops to the area and I urge the FG to establish a permanent base for the military in that part of the state. It is clear that those behind these acts of barbarism and genocide are targetting both Christians and Muslims and this is unacceptable. The killers were not men of any faith but are simply bloodthirsty barbarians from a foreign land. This is an attack on our fatherland and our people and we must all rise up, join our hands together, support both the state and Federal Government and collectively resist it. May the souls of those that were brutally murdered rest in peace. 🙏💔

Today, I inspected and was impressed with the ongoing rehabilitation of road networks in the old Port Harcourt township. The aim is to restore the township to its past glory of beautiful ambiance. I also stopped over at the Creek road Market which we are rebuilding to create a modern complex so as to remove people trading along the street. Once the market is completed, Creek Road will also be properly rehabilitated to give it a facelift that will showcase the old nature of the area. We promised our people that despite challenges we will remain focused on delivering good governance to the State.
